unfair reporting

This comes up quite a bit, so hopefully we can shed some light as to why your paintings are being marked as Mature.

Although we rely on the community to help us find Mature paintings that are not marked as such (or abusive content), in the end, the Colors! Moderators have the final say.

Each reported painting is vetted by us. Most of the time, a report is valid, but we do get cases where someone has reported something that needn't be. If that happens, we mark that painting as "safe", so any future reports have no effect on that particular painting.

If enough users report a painting, it is automatically marked as Mature. This is to help us quickly hide questionable content. But even then, we still review those paintings and downgrade them if we find they should not have been set to Mature.
