Challenges and Contests

Have you ever felt like painting, but didn't know what to paint? Challenges are a fun way to solve this problem.

We at the Colors! Gallery run weekly challenges and sometimes even contests with proper prizes! You can find the currently active challenges on the Colors! news page.

Participating

First create a painting based on the challenge topic. Then, add the challenge's #tag to your painting's description and upload it to the gallery. Each challenge ends at 23:59 (UTC-11) of the stated deadline date. To have a chance to win, it must be uploaded between the challenge's start and end date, not be flagged NSFW and not be a re-upload (we will check your deleted paintings).

Winning

Apart from the glory, the winning painting may be prominently featured in the gallery. For the weekly challenge, the winner also has the opportunity to suggest a topic for the next weekly challenge as well as judge it.

If you have won a contest with a prize, congratulations! We will contact you through e-mail to collect your shipping address.

If you have won a weekly challenge, congratulations! We will contact you through e-mail to ask for the following information:
* Do you want to judge the next weekly challenge?
* What is your suggested topic for the next challenge?

Make sure to suggest a topic that won't be abused and has not been recently used. If the topic you suggest is approved, we will use it for the next weekly challenge. If we do not receive your e-mail in the 48 hours after your painting is chosen, the Colors! Team will choose the topic for the next weekly challenge.

Judging

The number of likes a painting has does not affect its chances of winning. Each winner is hand-picked by either the winner of the previous challenge, or by the Colors! Team, so enter with confidence!

If you have won a challenge and want to judge, we ask that you search for the challenge #tag and take a good look through all the entries before making your choice for the winner. Then, e-mail your choice to contest@collectingsmiles.com within 48 hours after the challenge deadline. We reserve the right to choose a different painting if the suggested winner did not follow the rules, if we cannot see how it fits the topic, or under other special circumstances.
