Hello, Colors Gallery! We're now at over 99 featured interviews! It's been truly awesome getting to know so many of the amazingly varied, skilled, and remarkably talented artist within the Colors Live community.It's truly been an honor! When I first started doing the weekly artist interviews my main goals were not just to bring attention to the most skilled or popular artist within the Colors Gallery, or even bring attention to relatively unknown artist who have a lot of unrecognized talent or a lot of potential but also to bring our humble little community closer together by reminding us all that everyone has a story and no artist started off as a master!
Everyone had to get a start somewhere and had to earn their skills as an artist. As you all may have already known, I've been a member of the Colors Live community for many years now and well before I started running the news I often lurked on my favorite artist galleries, giving likes while not saying much as way to show my admiration and support from the shadows, despite being the current community manager I would still consider myself a tad shy at times.
When I think back on the many dozens of artist that have come and gone throughout the Colors Gallery over the years, one of the things I do wish I did more of was chatting with and getting to know more of the artist I admired most on a personal level. I think it's important to remember that behind every artist is a person, a person whose life experiences, inspirations, and motivations reflected who they are as an artist and is often reflected in their at in some way as well. I think it's important to come to understand that while a skilled, masterful artist may seem intimidating we're all human at the end of the day.
Deciding to do the weekly artist interviews is my way of encouraging everyone here in the Colors Gallery to keep interacting with eachother in a positive way as I believe artist at all varying skills levels always have something they can learn from eachother, and that one of the greatest strengths of Colors Live is the is the strong community aspect itself!
That all being said, to celebrate the milestone of so many weekly artist interviews for the next few weeks we're giving you all oppurtunity to get to know The Colors Team better! That's right, Colors Gallery! It's time to get to know @Jens the programmer and creator of Colors, @madwurmz the mad lad graphic designer who designed the UI, @twarda an astounding artist who worked on Colors Quest, @brian the mysterious hero behind the scenes who did the web prograaming, @Johannes the pr & community manager, and yours truly, @-zyik-!
