@sammysomething is something quite special! New to the gallery but not quite so new to making cute animal artwork with bold lineart and complimentary colors! Now let's learn something about them!
Tell us something about YOU! What's something we should all know about sammysomething?
"Well as you can probably tell I really like animals. But my favourite type of animal by far are rats and have had them as pets many times! (Fun fact: domesticated pet rats are classified as "fancy rats")."

You draw such cute animals Also your art reminds me of something that I'd see on a shirt or a post card! What are your inspirations? What motivates you?
"Thank you! This might sound cheesy but my girlfriend definitely inspires and motivates me, nothing feels better than hearing her get excited over things I've created, she also gives me fun prompts and challenges too. Ooh! Also everyone who supports me in my comments, they're definitely a motivator and so kind."
You seem like you're really new to the gallery! How did you discover Colors Live? What made you join the community and how do you like it? Any features you want to see in the future?
"I saw a trailer for it in 2021 and I had my heart set on getting it for my switch, I really wanted to get into digital art but didn't have the funds for a set up I wanted so colorslive was very convenient for me. I joined the community because everyone is so kind! I'm loving the community it's so positive. I would definitely love to see a shape tool be implemented in the future because drawing the perfect circle is tough haha!"
What colors art that you've made are you the most proud of?
"The colors artwork I'm most proud of is my frogs painting, I had a dream about those frogs and really wanted to make them "real". This was my first dive into realism and I'm very happy with how it came out."

Top 3 favorite Colors artworks?
"Ooh! Tough question there's so many good artworks here but if I had to choose: "now! thunderbolt!!" by chid0, "Kyle" by Silvermoon- and "Sunset Shimmer" by BiniBean."
now! thunderbolt!!"

If you could be any animal what would you be?
"Probably a crow, I would love to experience flying in the air and stealing shiny things to add to my collection. Also crows hold grudges through generations and I find that interesting!"
It's obvious you love animals. Especially with you being an animal care student. What made you take that path? What's that like? What's your favorite animal? Do you have any pets?
"I've been very interested in animals my whole life, as a child I'd borrow all the library books about any animal species and I'd never shy away from any type of animal. I knew working with animals would be what I'd want to do my whole life. Oops I answered the favourite animal question already but my 2nd favourite is a corn snake. I also own 2 guinea pigs, two cats and a dog, the most interesting animal I've probably owned in the past is a pair of ducks."
Do you use any other software or mediums? How does Colors Live compliment your style and workflow?
"I mostly use colorslive to do my art as it's the most convenient thing to use but I do my sketches on paper first so I have an idea of what I'm going for. The features of colorslive really help my creativity flow, its like having a virtual playground for my imagination!"
Any advice you want to give to aspiring artist?
"Take creating and learning art at your own pace, it's completely okay to make mistakes it's how we improve!"

What's your favorite weapon against art block?
"This might sound silly but just getting up and doing art tends to get me out of it, it's more if a mental block of "will I enjoy it?" but then I start and I do really enjoy it. If it's a certain piece that's making me experience art block I just start a new one, my gallery is full of unfinished art and that's perfectly okay!"
Goals and ambitions for the future?
"I would definitely love to work in the veterinary field that's my main goal in life as it's my dream job but I'd be happy to work in any environment with animals."
Nature vs nurture?
"I believe nature and nurture both bring something to the table making life more interesting and diverse!"

Anyone you want to shout-out? Have any final words?
"If I could thank everyone supporting me I would! But thank you @NyxStarbright for being an early supporter of mine, @Artlicia217 and @lilloo, as well as @Heroine-of-Winds for leaving such a nice comment. I hope everyone has a nice day and always remember you are enough <3!"
