Colors Gallery, meet puripuddin
@puripudden , despite being a novice artist already has a gallery showing their keen skills of observation and a knack for realism! They're quite new to the gallery so let's get to know more about them!
It's time for you to give us a taste! What should we know about puripuddin?
"I'm almost a 21 year old T-guy!!!! So excited to be old!"
You're a novice painter but already your works are quite impressive! What inspired you to start painting? Who or what are your motivations? What's your journey with art been like so far?
"I've always wanted to make some sort of art, and when I had the opportunity to take an oil painting class at my local community college, I jumped at the chance. Sometimes I get a little demotivated, but the urge to make whimsical art always keeps me coming back. So far, I think I've had a relatively easy art journey. Even since my first painting lesson, I've had people tell me I paint "like a very experienced person painting in a rush"."

How did you come across Colors Live? Do you paint traditionally? How has Colors assisted or changed your workflow? Any features you'd like to see in a future update?
"I came across colors live on the Nintendo store and got it for sale at Best Buy. I oil and gouache paint. Colors has given me insight into techniques for high detail painting, so I would say it definitely had changed my workflow. I think I would like colors live to stay relatively similar, as I like the low learning curve platforms, such as Microsoft paint."

What art of yours are you most proud of?
I think I am most proud of ayes, my painting of my SO's eyes.

Favorite artist on and off Colors?
"My favorite artist off colors would definitely have to be Wayne Thiebaud. His art is just so fun and silly. On colors, it's really hard to choose. I think @sandman_02 would be a close first though."

What goal(s) do you have for the future?
"I want to be able to have lots and lots of people see my art and feel a sense of whimsy."
Technical skill or intuition? What's more important for an artist?
"I think it would definitely have to be intuition. Art that evokes an emotion will always be my favorite, and I think that even if one paints a perfectly composed piece that looks perfectly realistic, it will fall short of one that makes me feel something."
Is there anything or any style your want to try drawing that you haven't yet?
"I would like to try drawing more as I feel and less as I see. Currently, I feel like a robot copying exactly what I see, but I would like to try conveying how I feel a little bit more."
What holds most people back from reaching their potential?
"A tendency to paint what they think they see instead of what they actually see in their heart and mind."
What do you think the future of art will be?
"I think the future of art will be that there will be a thing for everyone everywhere. With the event of the internet, finding something that touches you will become easier and easier as time goes on, on a large scale (disregarding setbacks such as the current state of search engines)."
Now for the most important question of all... What is your favorite flavor of pudding and why is it banana?
"IT REALLY IS BANANA!!!! I am actually grocery shopping for the ingredients for banana pudding right now!"
