@pepperdraws spices up the gallery with their sweet and spicy artwork full of vibrance and heart! Now that we have the main ingrdient it's time to serve up the interview!Let's learn about them now!
@pepperdraws it's time to spice things up! What's your flavor? What should we know about you?
"Hello, thank you for having me! For those who haven’t met me, I’m Pepper! I really enjoy drawing all kinds of things, but especially my oc’s. Hope you enjoy!"

What spiced up your art? What would you say are your biggest inspirations? What made you start drawing in the first place?
"I would say my biggest inspiration at the moment would be @//lilredbean, the author and artist of the webtoon 'School Bus Graveyard.' Reading SBG made me realize that this was what I wanted to do: draw my silly little characters and their silly little lives for people to read. As for when I first started drawing, I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, but it got serious after I got into the 'Wings of Fire' series by Tui Sutherland."
You've been with us for nearly a year now! What has your experience in the Colors community been like so far? How did you discover us?
"So far it's been lovely! Everyone is so kind and supportive, and I've made many friends over these last few months! I found Colors through an IRL friend who's been an artist on here forever ( @tek1207)."

Do you use any other software or mediums? What's your process? Is there anything you want to see in Colors Live in the future from other apps?
"Outside of Colors, I use Procreate and my handy little sketchbook I always have with me. My process is usually the same: sketch, background, flat colors, lighting, shadows, highlights, color the line art, and any finishing touches depending on the piece! I'd definitely love to see a color palette option or color history in the future. I'd love to be able to keep a saved color palette."
We see that you've already made some big improvements even though you haven't been in the gallery for that long! What's your secret? What Colors artworks of yours are you most proud of? Which were the most difficult?
"Honestly, I'm not really sure how I've come this far in this short of a time. As clichéd as it sounds, I think it was just practice. I went a while where I would post every day. Working on improving anatomy is another big factor. There was a drastic change in my art once I learned how anatomy worked. So as much as you hate hearing it, practice really does help a lot. :) One of my all-time favorite drawings I've made on here has to be my Meet The Artist, it was very fun to draw myself and share my interests with everyone!"

Top 3 favorite Colors artworks?
I'm probably most proud of my Elevator Hitch fanart, my Naga persona, and Summertime Fun. (I also really liked the Cold Front Fanart I made recently.)

Favorite artist on and off of Colors Live? What do you admire most about them?
"What do you admire most about them? Well, on Colors, my favorites have to be my friends @alrightymoose@FrenchToast@Sunnysidesadness22@tek1207 and @Milotheonlu :) Off Colors, probably @/ROSEOAK, the artist of "Not So Silent" on webtoon, their art is scrumptious."
If you could evolve your style in one or two ways what ways would it be? What would you do to stand out more?
"I would say backgrounds and rendering. I've always struggled with architecture and nature, so I'd love to get better at that, and rendering is super pretty; I just don’t know how it works all that well."
Tell us about #DeadlyError ! I hear you're working on a story(cool name by the way)?
"Oof I could go on forever and ever about this one but I'll keep it short with a little synopsis. Basically, most of my oc's are kids who were taken and used by an underground government organization, and they're put into a simulation to see how humanity might react to an apocalypse. They have no recollection of their lives beforehand and must survive like it's an actual monster apocalypse. Only one of the kids remembers the life before, but that's a spoiler so I'm not gonna say who. >:) I won't say much more cause I do plan to publish this sometime, but I have lots of ideas and tons of drawings for it on my account!"
Inktober Day 2: Discover by pepperdraws
What advice would you give that's served you well in the past? (It doesn't have to be art related.)
"I would say "worry about how you feel about yourself before you worry about how others feel about you" -my mom."
I hear you like horror movies! What's your favorite thing about them? If you could write one or rewrite you've seen how would you go about it? What are your favorite least favorite tropes?
"Ooo my favorites would definitely be 'The Grudge' and 'Hellhouse.' I really like the thrill without actually being in danger lol. I can't think of any I'd rewrite, but my favorite aspects would be 'open to interpretation' endings and 'found footage' movies, and my least favorite is when they over explain things or when magic is involved. It just feels tacky, y'know? I want to be able to speculate about what was really going on, it adds to the thrill and creepiness."
What ambitions do you have for the future? Where do you see yourself in the next few years/what're your plans?
"I stated this earlier, but I really hope to publish my story on webtoon or tapas at some point, preferably I want to start before I graduate high school but that's a bit of a stretch. I also hope to go to art school for visual storytelling and character design (and maybe animation) after I graduate."
Sweet or spicy or sour?
"Sweet, I have a massive sweet tooth. I can't help it, my mom is just too good at baking."
What do you think my art would taste like? by pepperdraws
What do you do when you burnout? How do you get past it?
"Usually I force myself to draw, which works for me, but it seems that doesn’t really work for most people. I usually end up scrolling on Pinterest for hours while trying to gain motivation by looking at references or other art I like. Not the best move, but it usually ends up working!"

Nature vs nurture? What would you say is needed to succeed the most?
"I feel as though a little bit of both is important for a happy and healthy society/life. It’s not good to sacrifice either for the other; a healthy mix is the best option."
