@_-TheGremlinDen-_ emerges from their den, bringing with them coffee, a bit of dirt, trinkets, and of course their awesome art skills! Their sketchy, scratchy style isn't something to be overlooked! Now lets' take a look at this interview!
Time for you to emerge from your den! What can you tell us about yourself @_-TheGremlinDen-_ ?
"Well I'm a young artist, I'm from Florida. I sing, dance, crotchet, and I love to make art of all kinds!"

I always appreciate sketchy style! What inspired you to begin drawing? What're your biggest motivations and influences?
"I grew up around my great aunt, who painted all the time and she had me drawing flowers and and mermaids by the time I was four. I think my biggest motivation would be my older sister and the idea of sharing art. I also really love studio Ghibli and many other animation studios, still inspiring me today."
How did you discover Colors Live and what made you join our lovely community?
"I had been gifted Colors for Christmas last year and I thought that making an account might be interesting new experience!"
What's your process? How does Colors Live help and do you use any other software/mediums? Are there any special features you want to see in the future?
"I tend to draw with my ring finger when I cant find my nibs, but my process is pretty basic. I start with a sketch, the line art, color and i add shading and details later on."
"I do charcoal and pencil sketches for traditional, but thats about it."
"I would love to be able to animate and upload animations to Colors but i know that takes a lot of work and will take some time, until then, a soft eraser would be great!"

Favorite artist on and off Colors Live?
"I honestly can't pick a favorite artist on colors or literally anything where else, they're are so many cool and interesting artists, art styles and designs. I just cant pick one artist! On colors specifically I've interacted with so many cool people, I cant choose!"
How did you develop your distinct artstyle? What would you say someone to someone who wants to create artwork that stands out from others? What mistakes should they avoid?
"I think I more developed my style by finding things I like in other people's art and Frankensteining them all together. I'm still trying to figure out what I like but I think I'm as close to what I want as I can get."
"To find what style fits with you, you gotta experiment with a little bit if everything! The biggest mistake you can make is being afraid to try things, you can copy and trace as a learning tool, just credit the original artist. Dont be afraid to play around with things and dont worry about being original when your just figuring your artstyle out."

Do you have any nuggets of wisdom you want to spare(are related or not)?
"If I have anything to share, be nice. Or at least try your best to be."
How do you handle burnout? Is it better to keep pushing or is it better to take a step back for a bit?
"As a professional procrastinator, I usually take a break once I feel a bit of burnout. To deal with it I usually just take a concerningly long nap- seriously though, if you start to feel burnout, take a break, dont push yourself too hard."

Intuition vs skill? Which is more important to you?
"I feel you can't have skill without intuition, you need to understand something to do something."

What are your plans and goals for the future?
"I'm not sure what I'm planning but I know I'm going to keep sharing my art. I've recently gotten an animation software so I'm really hoping to get more into it when I get the time!"
