@ScarlattoBrightStar is a shining star of the Colors Gallery! They brighten up our humble community with their amazingly polished fanarts and bright and colorful art style! It's time to illuminate them for all to see!
Introduce yourself! Who're you? When did you get started creating art?
"Ok! Where do I start? I'm an self taught artist. A girl that always liked to live in a world full of fantasies. I don't quite remember when I did actually start, but I discovered art at such young age (in between like 10 years old or less)."
You have interesting way of combining soft shading and hard shading. What's your process? How does Colors compliment your workflow? And how did you discover our humble community? Do you use any other software or mediums?
"My multiple shading process is depending of what I want to express in a piece. I guess I could say they appreciate my art? I dunno how to respond to this one. I discovered your community since I started to buy the game on my 2DS! (Which I began posting to in 2017 and to this day)
And this is where I started to feel more comfortable to share with my favourite software.
I don't know if it does count but I use MS paint."
What do you like best about Colors? Is there any future features you want to see?
"The best thing about Colors is that you can discover a lot of artists here and appreciate them. Giving them their moment to shine and feel more comfortable about their art! For the features I would like a straight brush cuz I would find that very useful, especially for someone that can't make straight lines, or even a dots brush that could make a nice effect for other drawing techniques!"
You try out a variety of different styles. What's your opinion on artstyle? Should a young artist focus on finding a style early on in their art journey or should they just focus on improving and let their style come naturally overtime?
"My opinion of artstyles is sthat I wish people would understand that it shouldn't be only focused style. It can came from many forms.
Artstyle is something that can have many shapes or forms and that should be praised because it means that an artist doesn't focus on one thing but want to try new experiences and applicate them in their art. To be honest, a young artist should be let to develop their style with time and try any new stuff they see. I don't think they should be obligated to find just one artstyle and have to stick to it which is something I used to do back then."
What would you consider your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?
"My biggest strength and my weakness? Well I guess I can answer that my strength is being willing to do something that I like without anyone changing my mind and my weakness is my artblock and some of my limits because of my physical health that of which I won't go further."
Do you have any art goals ? What is your motivation? What inspires you most? What are your peeves and what frustrates you most?
"I just want to be recognised and even try to sell my art with commissions but mostly wants to have fun. As for peeves it's when I do art or in anything general but I don't like when people put me pressure on things with what I'm working on and how my physical health will not let me finish what I want to work on it and it frustrates me."
You seem to be a fan of a lot of different cartoon and video game franchises. Which are your favorites and if you could only draw fanart for only one for the rest of your life which one would it be?
"Yeah I do! I do love cartoons and videogames cuz I find them very expressive but it depends of which show and game we're talking about. My current favorite game and show are Borderlands cuz I like shooting games and my fav show is The Amazing World Of Gumball and Final Space."

"My habits are singing, doing chores, watching movies and playing video games!"

"Let's just say that every artstyle comes in a different shapes or form
and that's something I admire about art. Whenever I draw I always like to try something new!"

"I guess the only shout-outs are to my younger self and my family.
They're the reason why I am who I am today!"

For those who may need a reminder
The Artist of the week will be posted every Friday so be sure to tune in! Prior to that, the artist may be contacted via email or other means at least a week or more in advance so be sure to check your emails( and spam) so you don't miss out on a chance to be featured. If you don't reply within 48 hours another artist may be chosen to be featured for that week instead and you will be in a future artist of the week update.
The announcement of who is the upcoming featured artist will be announced at least 2-3 days in advance or eariler so look out for that too! If you would like for any of your questions or comments to be featured in an upcoming interview please check out colorslive.com/discord and visit the official artist of the week channel to submit questions/commentary for a chance for those to be answered before Friday.
