Nice of you to pop in @Pokopin_ ! What can you tell us about yourself? Who are you?
"Greetings (goodnight, good evening, ahh whatever it is!!) everyone reading!! You can refer to me as Poko, I'm pretty much a self-taught artist who likes stuff in the cutesy and spooky/creepy aesthetics."
"My native language is Polish and I’m part British/East-european in general but I’m not good at both languages."
*Also if you can't tell from most (alot, actually) of my works, I am indeed a Genji x Toby shipper < (`∀´) > May the nation rise onnnn!!*

Your art style really pops out! What would you see inspires you? How did you develop your style?
"Honestly, it may not be surprising, but it actually started when we were all in dull quarantine."
"I LONGED for one of my childhood skills - and that was drawing! Honestly, the ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES of creativity any ARTIST could unleash. Ahahahahaha.."

"But oh my goodness, I did the impossible - I wasn't going to be defeated by challenges and overcome them!!" (okay but seriously)
"I'm very anxiety-induced and the fact I even accomplished all those tough techniques and methods so quickly in 4 years makes me very rewarded in a way!"
"Also, I have a HUGE sweet tooth (though I enjoy sour sweets more), I even somehow based my artstyle's adaption and colouring on them.. I even 'officially' call it - the "Sour Belt" artstyle!"

You joined the community back in March so you've only been here a short while! Welcome to the gallery! How did you discover Colors Live? What made you join the community and how're you liking it so far?
"The discovery of such a platform started from my older sibling persuading me to get the app upon discovery, on my 3DS before I sadly sold it years after.. *I know. Stupid decision."
I really was astonished by the feature to DRAW on your 3DS, which also made me have the thought of:
"Woah, this is PERFECT for the stylus!"
Indeed it is, lil' me, indeed it is.
"A few years had elapsed after playing some junk on my phone and tablet, my parents FINALLY got me my own console at Christmas - a Nintendo Switch & a copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons as my FIRST game."
"About 9 months into my Switch, and I find out about the 'reboot' - Colours Live. So like a totally normal person, I installed the demo, experimented with it for MONTHS until as a way for my 'good behaviour' and also a belated birthday gift, my parents FINALLY bought me the program."
"And that's how it changed. SO much more improvements and features squashed into a.. literal CONSOLE?! Ack, I'm still shook even though it's been months from my first steps on here!!"
"...Secretly, I just hovered like a foggy ghost in a wicked manor at the AMAZING art you all put out, so that gave me the idea to *finally* make an account to post the works I produced! ...And I can see where I am now!" ♡

Do you use any other software or mediums for art? How does Colors Live fit that process?
"Yes, sometimes I use the collaborative online-browser art platform Magma, which was formerly referred to as Aggie.io. That’s actually why you see dots as one of my current main shading techniques - which are sometimes also referred to as screen tones."
"Also, I don’t usually draw traditionally, but when I do, I mainly use gel pens, watercolour paints, alcohol and acrylic paint markers. It’s actually ALOT more “messier” because it’s just SO different to the endless options and techniques digital art has."
"I mostly merge my traditional techniques and just scramble around to see what I do. That’s somehow how it fits my process of my snappy style."
What Colors art of yours are you most proud of and why?

【 L-L-L-L-LET'S DANCE 】 by Pokopin_
- I LOVE the monochromic theme that I was going for, since well, that was a weekly contest entry for Film Noir. (TOTALLY wasn’t an excuse to draw Genji and Toby, totally not) Also, Maretu is one of my favourite Vocaloid/music producers in general, I really do admire the symbols he implies in his works as it compliments his dark tastes and lyrics. (Search at your own risk) I feel extremely proud and accomplished that I was able to make a reference/replication to his imagery !
OBJECTION!!!!!!!!!!!! by Pokopin_
- This one is actually a more recent work, but I’m still really happy with its result. If you can’t tell I want to get into a lot of things, and the crime-solving game Ace Attorney is one of them, which is what I’ve based the expressions of my character with the same name (Poko) on. I also tried going for some sort of challenge which was perspective of view. Again, I love the overall picture and will practice this method even more!!

- With this one, I was trying to go for a look of Microsoft Windows, you know, when you log on your account on your desktop and your eyes are stuck into whatever background you have? It was also actually the first redesign of Poko that I am very proud of, and am currently using so far :) I’m REALLY excited that I learnt this shading style, though it was complicated, but hey-I’m taking it to memory very well! :D (also hi moose if you’re reading this I tried to include you in, but I forgot your ears)

- Ahahaha!!! There’s just something I ENJOY so much about this artwork!! The vibrant colours, the shading methods, the song it’s based on (I’m binging it as of now!!) and the ADORABLE art style that just combines it all together.. ..as if it was a pack of sour flavoured crunchy candy.. Mmm.. Sorry, got carried away—

- I REALLY want to go into the lore of Touhou, and this helps so much ESPECIALLY since Yuyuko is my absolute favourite Touhou girlie :3 The semi-realistic but glittery-looking style, the way they shade… The way she carries the skeleton, it’s like as if one of the intial messages of this is a very infamous quote… Memento Mori… I love ghoul girls like Yuyuko and will for a very long time!!! <3
The FURtactic four! by Kilgara
- I know, I know, an odd one, but why not end it funny and goofy? I essentially wanted to add another one, but you’ll see that painting later on. The detailed designs of their faces genuinely made me spit my [POLISH] tea everywhere, and made me laugh loudly and hardly. My sibling found out and we memed it too much. We still meme it to this day if you really are curious to ask. :D
Favourite artist on and off Colors?
"On Colors, it HAS to be @alrightymoose. I LOVE their exaggeration on “cartoons”: the way they choose their colours, the bounciness of their style and AAAAHHHH they are an AMAZING person in general."

"Externally though, some of my favourites are quite modern: ichimaru, Naoki Saito, si_ku, PePoYo, Sere (draws for Azari’s works), Kuroume and Marikyuun. (I have ALOT more but it would overflow the whole interview, haha!)."
What's your thought process when creating artwork?
"I will sometimes think of the most unnecessary things, but genuinely the creation of my OCs and prompts come from dreaming! You can visualise pretty much anything from Genji and Toby cuddling to Freddy Fazbear screaming at a McDonalds’ employee whilst being in a fish costume. It’s really fun realising how much more wackier my stuff is when I actually put it to light."
Do you ever get creative burnout? How do you deal with it?
"In all honesty, EVERYONE does. Yeppity-yep, everyone! Even me. Really how I deal with it is scribble around and doodle what comes to YOUR mind. Even if it was a bird with glistening, long legs, do it!! I blurt out a lot of doodles and slowly progress into finally breaking out. Also, if I don’t feel like drawing, I’ll take a break from the platform to progress things as that can get easier for me. If you’re reading this, when you’re feeling this right now, don’t pressure yourself and give it your all, even it takes very long to return back to your original state!"
Nature or nurture? Which is more optimal for an artist growth?
"It varies on what you choose, but if you were going for my advice, I’d say nature. Your personality is what’s about YOU, about YOUR mind, about the creativity YOU can unleash. Again, you can think of ANYTHING from your person and if that’s your idea, that’s your idea."
What goals and plans do you have for the future?
"I’ve fantasised about being a ‘mangaka’ - basically a manga artist. I love writing stories and interpreting them via my own drawings, as it’s something that calms me down. If I luckily get famous (which I’ll try getting used to, for I’m not used to so much attention since I actually haven’t monitored a proper account in a social platform for almost a year due to anxiety/mental health), I’ll also hopefully produce merchandise of beloved OCs and/or even volunteer for sponsorships for other brands/companies."
"Another one of my goals is being a VTuber, I love that you can show yourself without well, actually showing yourself whilst having a cutesy (or cursed) avatar to bounce and move around in."

Your contest #GenjiXTobyDTIYS has some amazing entries! Guessing you're a big Animal Crossing fan? Which one is your favorite?
"Heh, it does! It’s my favourite ship and has been for about 5 years! Ever since I was a silly goofball (as a toddler, but to be fair I still am very silly), I LOVED Animal Crossing and their games. I used to play New Leaf SO MUCH that my mother found out and did no use to my addiction. If I could go back in time, however, I wish I didn’t sell my 3DS!! To this day I still have regrets to doing that, also I have ALOT of Animal Crossing merch ranging from plushies & mugs to literal clothing!!!"

- As I’ve previously stated, this person is my FAVOURITE artist on this platform. I just don’t know how to ramble without rambling too much over this picture because that is how much I LOVED it. I even gave that picture my super like immediately, that was how impatient I was aaaackkk-
"The stylistic choices and their palettes of colour make me stim a lot and make me feel really happy. I love how Genji is just flexing whilst Toby is enamored by his structure. To this day it’s one of my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE pictures on Colours and I burst into tears of joy when I first saw it"

- Genuinely, I wasn’t expecting this person to join, but OH MY GOD SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Her choices of pastel shades of yellow, pink and green and her ADORABLE artstyle combine it all into a masterpiece. Also, I love how she put Genji in a kimono to associate him with his implied culture.

- Aaaah I had to be REALLY decisive with this one, I love the different stylistics of line art and colour, really good palette and a cute scenario! (Also Genji’s nosebleed was just accurate for that moment, eheheheh…)
