Hello I'm @Nyx_The_Moth. I use any pronouns!
I'm just a silly person who loves the persona games and art!
I love to learn about and be inspired by the world around me and I strive to live my life full of joy and whimsy!!

Love your character sheet artworks! Were they inspired by anyone? Who or what were your biggest inspirations growing up?

Some artists I watched/were inspired by growing up were drawingwiffwaffles, applemint, and love2drawmanga. I loved watching each of their videos and were very inspired by all of them!
But otherwise I'd say I like to learn from and enjoy the art of many, many other artists so it'd be hard and a little unfair to say one person was my inspiration.

You seem like you have a solid process so now is the time reveal it! What is your method? When it comes to creating art what is your thought process?
I usually like to have a clear image in my head when I start a drawing. It's just much easier when I know what I want but I still like to go with the flow somewhat.
I like to use a colored sketch when I'm drawing, not just because it looks nice but also because it can help when I'm drawing multiple characters.
I'll usually decide how I want to do the line art as I sketch like if I want to color it or use line weight for example
as for shading I'll think of where the light is coming from and I'll draw a small sun in that general area it helps me think of where the shadows are and after all of that I may add some final finishing touches to it and I'm done.
It's very oversimplified but that's my general process when I draw.
So how'd an invertebrate such as yourself flutter onto Colors Live? What drew you to the community like a moth to flame?
I remember one of my siblings having Colors!3D on their DS. It was actually my first digital art program I remember drawing all sorts of things on it unfortunately though (or perhaps fortunately) they have been lost to the sands of time but a few years back I asked my parents for an art program to draw with and they got me Colors Live.
I didn't post anything for a long time though because I was too young to make an account but when I was I asked for one and the rest was history! :)
Colors Live development behind the scenes is ramping up! What features do you dream of most? What do you want to see implemented at some point?
I'm not really sure. Maybe some ways to personalize your profile more?
I really like to decorate things and make them feel like they're mine so maybe something like that would be cool.
But if I were to think of things related to drawing maybe a way to warp things like to take an image and put it into perspective or a liquify tool would be pretty helpful!
But otherwise that's about it! I actually kind of like the simplicity of colors live :)

I feel like it's a bit obvious but my friend @Stellar_pen_skills I genuinely think they're an amazing artist!!

They're genuinely my favorite artist both on and off of colors live! :)
Buuut if I really had to mention anyone off of Colors Live I'd say artists like Thestarfishface dollightful and ginjaninjaowo/actuallyrea (hopefully I spelled all of their names right lol). T
They're all very great artists all with their own unique flare especially dollightful because she actually customizes dolls(especially monster high dolls).
I like each of them for all their own reasons and I think everybody should check them all out!

What's your advice for artist creating character reference sheets? How does one go about making an interesting character design?
I'd say getting a clear idea of who your character is as a person is a good idea like knowing what they like and where they live and who they surround themselves with can really help when designing them.
Now obviously you don't have to be able to fill a whole book about just them. Even simple prompts can be really helpful,
like one example I saw was an und3ad ice nun or to use one of my ocs for an example a semi cat-like dragon who lives in a desert aka my oc Axle.
Simple prompts like that can be really helpful when making a character so keep that in mind! :)

How has 2025 treated you? What's your goal for 2026 and beyond?
Honestly despite how things seem to only be getting worse in the world 2025 has actually been a very good year for me.
I remember ending 2023 feeling like it was just yet another waisted year like I was going nowhere with my life but this year has been really nice! I fell in love with persona, I've been making so much more art, I made a wonderful friend and I really feel like I'm happy with my life even if there still are some bumps here and there :)
And in 2026 I hope things continue to keep going that way!!
My one wish is to stay friends with Stellar for a very long time! :) <33

What other software or mediums do you use? How does Colors Live fit your process?
Honestly I usually only use Colors Live. It's simple but it works well and I have a nice workflow when drawing.
I'd like to get back into doing traditional art more though.
Other then drawing I'd like to sew needle felt craft and knit. I'd also like to get into sculpting and music making. I also really love to sing and I've been learning to play guitar too!!
For artist still awaiting their metamorphosis, what advice do you have for them?
For beginners I'd say to try to learn from all sorts of places and to be inspired by the world around you. Look at your favorite artists. What do you like about their style what can you learn from that?
If they have made tutorials all the better! This also applies to the things you like too and also don't be afraid to make "bad" art. You're just starting out so be gentle with yourself
and most importantly art is meant to be fun so just make what makes you happy that's the most important thing!

When designing a character what are the most important fundamentals in your opinion?
If it's for a story think about their role their profession their personality. Is their look meant to convey who they are as a person or perhaps their profession?
Like somebody who's a runner may have more toned legs and a more lean body and as for somebody who may stay indores more may have washed-out looking skin from lack of sunlight.
Remember to keep these sorts of things in mind when making a character. Again, like I said prompts can be very helpful!

When the world makes you feel small, vulnerable, and burnout what's your way of overcoming it?
I haven't really had art-block in a while, but when I'm unsure of what to draw I'll usually just think of something silly to draw like my drawing of Joker and Akechi in wedding attire >:3
Either that or I'll look at other things like songs videos games etc. Genuinely I think the world around me is beautiful, a bit scary at times yes but beautiful nonetheless.
So I really do like to be inspired by the world around me! :)
