What makes you... you? Who are you and what can you say about yourself?
"Man, I don't even know how to introduce myself haha-
I go by Nekko online, I'm American but I'm also part filipino and part black teenager.
I mostly draw characters from different franchises or OCs. And I draw weird thirsty goofy stuff on @simp_squad haha! (click if you dare!)"
Who or what are your inspirations? What fandoms are you apart of?
"Mostly anime, vocaloid, some video games, basic weeb stuff. Me watching Sailor Moon and Pokemon as a little kid was a big impact on why I started drawing. And my dad also draws here and there so he taught me a bit and gets me the supplies I need."

How did you discover Colors Live? What did you think of the community at first and what do you feel about it now?
"I first found Colors back around March 2022 when the 3ds eshop was still open (RIP eshop) and later bought it. I mainly use Colors Live for switch now. I wasn't expecting much of an active community when I first joined since colors has been around since 2007 :0
I like how everyone is pretty familiar with eachother and how they're also kind to welcome new artists here!"
What are your go to tools in Colors Live? What's your process? Are there any features you would like to see in the future?
"I usually use Basic brush, lasso tool, and select fill tool. We need more textured brushes like watercolor and pencils, and I wish there was a liquify tool."

You switch up your art style often! Is this intentional or would you say you're style developing it? Also when it comes to developing an art style what would you say is the best approach?
"Usually it's not intentional, unless I'm trying to copy an art style. I just try to get comfortable with the drawing I do and then realize the art style doesn't really look like the last painting. And I kinda dunno how to answer the second question (sorry) but just keep stylizing until you're happy with it."

I take it you're an anime and manga fan! What are your favorites?
"I like Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer, Toilet Bound Hanako-kun, Kill la Kill, Tokyo Revengers, Nekopara, Lucky Star, Shimoneta Saiki K., My Dress Up Darling, etc. I favor a lot of series, and I sometimes forget them because I've seen a lot!"
Your biggest challenges as an artist?
Male anatomy is something I struggle to draw. I have a million references saved on how to draw muscles and abs but they don't really work out for me most of the time. And then I end up drawing men with lots of curves (or maybe that's a good thing, I'm not sure yet haha). I also need to learn how to do proper backgrounds instead of just paint bucket-ing a flat color."
Goals, dreams, and plans for the future?
"If I ever have enough money, I want to be a VTuber that does drawing and gaming streams and collab with other content creators, I think that'd be pretty fun. And do a bit of animating or be a character designer for a video game."
