@Loaf-of-Bread_ no more loafing around! Now is the time for questions! Who're you? Care to give us a slice of information about you?
1. Hello, everyone !! I am Loaf and I am a young self-taught artist! I've been drawing since I drew my first picture as a child (quite literally) and I've been doing digital art since 2022. I'm from Spain, which means that English is not my first language, but I've always tried my best to speak it well !!

I don't know but I have a hunch that you're more than a bit of an Animal Crossing fan! How did you discover and fall in love with the series? What else inspired you to to start your artistic journey and when did that begin?
2. And you're right! I'm a huge fan of Animal Crossing. I started playing the game because my friends used to play together (we still do !!) and I really wanted to play with them too, so one day, I came home from school and my parents told me that they got me the game so I could play with them. At first I didn't really play at all, since I thought I was only going to use it to play with my friends, but one day I decided to give it a try and oh my... I was obsessed ! I would play everyday and I would talk about it all the time !!

And about my artistic journey, as I mentioned before, I started drawing since I drew my first picture! My biggest inspiration at that time was probably Kirby! I drew Kirby everywhere at anytime. Growing up, my interests were things such as Minecraft, Among Us and Pikmin. Those series used to be my main inspirations, then shifting to Animal Crossing.

How did you come across Colors Live? What's your favorite thing about the community? Any feature you'd want to see in the future?
3. I got Colors Live as a gift for my birthday in January 2022, since I really wanted to try digital art, but I didn't make this account until May 2023. I restarted it in October and here I am now !! My favourite part about the community is how supportive it is to new artists using the platform. I mentioned this in one of my paintings before but I'd love it if you could add a clipping mask layer mod, because I usually paint each part of the character(s) I'm drawing in different layers. I'd also love to see a square canvas option and some textured brushes.

Do you use any other types of mediums or software? How does Colors Live fit your process?
4. I only use Procreate and Ibis Paint as other digital softwares for my art. I have to say that I mainly use Procreate for full effort drawings and Ibis Paint for doodles and quick sketches. Colors Live fits my process almost perfectly, since I've been using it for the past two years and it's the place where I make most of my digital art, since I don't post my art in any other social media.
Favorite artist on and off Colors Live?
5. I'd say my favourite artist off Colors Live is bluffycr3am on Instagram. Her art style is really nice and I love how she renders her drawings. My favourite artist on Colors Live is totally @FrenchToast !! Her art is really cute and I love how unique her art style is! Everytime she posts she brightens my day. And her birthday was a few days ago, so happy (late) birthday Rea Rea !!

6. Well, I'd say one of my favourite artworks is "BUBBLEGUM KK !!!" . It's pretty old, but I still like how Chrissy and Francine look in this drawing. I specially like the colours I used and the similarity to the actual song cover :)

7. I'm not really into drawing realism, but I have to admit that this artwork is incredible. The use of colours and the eye itself make this painting one of my favourites on here. I could stare at this for hours.

All of Justine's artwork is amazing, but this drawing of Peanut is just perfect. I love how she used the pastel tones and the thing that I probably like the most is Peanut's dynamic pose. Also, it's related to Animal Crossing, and I love Animal Crossing!

This artwork is perfect. I specifically love the vibrant colours and the overall composition of the drawing. The art style is truly amazing too.
I love how you use warm pastel colors and you seem to a have mastered appealing shapes as well! How did you discover and develop your art style? What're you tips on that?
8. Being honest, all I do to improve my art style is searching on Pinterest "acnh fanart" and scroll until I find an art style that I like, studying it and trying to add some of it to my current style. And for the colours I use, I studied a bit of colour theory at school, but I later did some research by myself to learn more about the use of colours, and it did really help! Also, a tip I have for drawing Animal Crossing characters is to break down their body features and adapt them to your style, and then focusing on each character's traits that make them unique.

What's your favorite thing about Animal Crossing? What're your hopes for the next game and if you could control the franchise for a year are there any changes you would make?
9. My favourite thing about Animal Crossing is the diverse range of villagers that there are! This is something that not many people appreciate, but in my case, my favourite villager is Gaston (I'm seriously obsessed with him) because of his unique traits such as his moustache and his expression! And I'd totally love it if they added new personality types, It'd definitely make the game more entertaining. If I could control the franchise for a year, I'd totally make new designs for new villagers and more clothing/accessories, since I feel like there should be more.

What's your favorite type of bread? Lately I've had a taste for pretzel buns and banana bread!
10. The thing is that I have celiac disease, so I can't eat any type of bread at all. I just have gluten free bread. And now you're going to be asking yourself: "so why did you name yourself after something that you can't eat?". Well, I just like how "Loaf of Bread" sounds, and I love how bread looks!! Also, gluten free bread doesn't taste bad at all.
Give the beginner artist a slice of your wisdom! What is the number one advice you have to share for those starting their art journey or just joining Colors Live?
11. If you're a beginner here, just focus on making your art and ignore the hate. It's actually good because there isn't a lot of hate here. And there are a lot of nice people in this community, so don't worry about finding your space because with all of the welcoming and supportive people you will !!
What plans do you have for the future? What are your biggest dreams and goals?
12. I don't really know yet, but I'd love to do something related to animation and/or character design, since those are things that I really enjoy !!
