@Jun3DS it’s just you and the community now! What should we know about you? Care to tell us your origin story?
“Hello and nice to meet you all! My name is Jun3DS, I’m from Italy and I was born in 1998! I’ve always liked drawing since childhood, then one day in 2008 I saw an episode of Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch on tv and I never stopped drawing in that style ever since! Also, I LOVE bubble tea!”

I have a hunch you’re very much into anime and vocaloids! Am I right? What’re your inspirations and how do they motivate you?
“Yes definitely! Manga and anime are probably my biggest sources of inspiration, but I also like classical and modern art! Music is also fundamental for me as I’m never drawing without it playing in the background!”

I see you’re primarily a Colors!3D user. How did you discover our humble little gallery? What keeps you around?
“I recently discovered Colors!3D by accident while I was looking at 3DS game titles and I decided to try it because it seemed just perfect for me! A game that combines drawing and an online gallery has always been my dream!! If to that you also add that this community is so welcoming I don’t think I’ll be leaving it anytime soon! The only regret I have is that I found it pretty late.”

Do you use anything other than Colors!3D for creating art? How does the app fit into your process? And are there any features you want to see in future versions of Colors?(Perhaps in a switch 2 version)
“Yes, I do traditional art and I occasionally use pc programs such as Paint tool SAI, FireAlpaca and Krita. Since there are so many options as for drawing programs/apps, thinking about it I wouldn’t really change anything of Colors!3D ! I think its simplicity makes it stand out as a very unique and cute doodling tool as it is! If anything maybe I’d like there to be a functionality for drawing online together with other people at the same time.”
Which artworks of yours are you most proud of? What makes them special to you?
I’m pretty happy with the Mayu fanart I made for @-Shine- as I was able to add lots of details to it.

I also like the Lots of Laugh inspired one as I tried to go out of my comfort zone a bit more with it (which is what I want to do more and more from now on!)

Who is it that inspires you most? Who are your favorite artists on and off of Colors Live?
My favorite mangaka is Osamu Tezuka!! Not to be dramatic but I owe everything to him and his work. Some of my other favorites are: Keiko Takemiya, Ai Yazawa and Wataru Yoshizumi for example! On Colors I really look up to:

Tell us about your process! What gets your creative juices flowing? If you could break down your style into smaller pieces what would those pieces be?
“Mhh, I think I mostly start with sketching the pose of the character and then color to the best of my ability! I feel like I mostly get inspired by others' drawings or anime and manga I really like and draw by instinct! I probably still have a long way to go as an artist.”
Favorite anime and anime characters? If you could create an anime what would it be about?
“I like so many it’s so hard to choose, so I’ll mention the ones that I really got into throughout the years: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, APH Hetalia, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Tomorrow’s Joe (1970) and Cardcaptor Sakura (1998). I really like older anime so if I could make one it would probably be an old school shoujo with a soft 90’s look to it!”

What are your goals and plans for the future? Do you have a roadmap for 2025?
“I’m not really good at planning the future haha…but one of my goals for this year is to learn Japanese! I would also like to go to Japan at some point and who knows, maybe that could be in 2025 as well?!”
What do you do when you feel burnt out? How do you deal with it?
“I think it’s so important to take breaks from time to time. Personally, I feel pretty lucky that I never feel like I have to make art at all costs (as opposed to people who work with it) so that helps, but one thing that usually helps me get out of art block is watching other people draw! Seeing others’ processes usually manages to make me think “I want to draw too!”
In an all-out battle royale between vocaloids who would you see coming out on top? Or is there a vocaloid you would want to win but you don’t see a way they could?
“Ahaha! I think Teto should be the ultimate winner! She’s probably the strongest anyway, right? (Don’t you call them drills!!)”
Nature or nurture?
“Nurture! You can learn anything if you work hard for it!”

Any advice to follow for 2025? What should up and coming young artist take to heart?
“Do what you love and don’t compare yourself to others. Also, enjoy your art journey!”

“Thank you Cupcake! I love to use soft and pastel colors, but I feel like I’ still learning to do it properly.”

“Ahh this is too difficult to decide! But I’d say that the anime I have the most emotional attachment to would be Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. But there are so many more!”
