Hi I’m @Frenchtoast or as most people call me Toast. Sorry for this utterly chaotic interview you're about to read!!! But anyway I'm Toast and I like many things and if I told you about all of them we'd be here for hours... but some things I like are TGCF, Magnus Chase, Yuri on ice, Chappell Roan, Song of Achilles, ACNH, and some other things.

You use such lovely, soft pastel colors in all of your works! What inspired you to come up with such a pleasant style?
"I’ve always been a fan of pretty pastels and cute things, who doesn’t love an adorable pastel bunny or a little chibi toast!?"
"What really inspired me was Animal Crossing, everything is so soft and sweet! I only started drawing I believe after the pandemic was over and around that time my mom got me ACNH so I got into drawing the little villagers (Shoutout to Goldie and Butch I love them and they don't have enough fanart)"

I don’t have a grand tale like many others but one night I was downloading a bunch of demo games and just testing them out (Because I’m broke) and I came across colors and absolutely loved it though I was unable to get the full game for a while it took a while to save up enough!!! And I'm so glad I bought Colors! I've met so many amazing people on here♥

Do you use any other software or mediums? What's your process? What would you want to see in Colors Live in the future?
"The only other software I use is flipaclip for animation because I take an animation class at my school and it’s one of the only free animation softwares out there that’s easy for me to use! My process? Just go with flow, do whatever seems right! What do I want to see in the future for colors? I would love to see the ability for a color saving feature!"

What artworks of yours are you most proud of? Which ones would you do consider doing over?
"I’ve never really been proud of any of my works and there’s a lot I would redo, I’m not very happy with my art style and I’m working as hard as I can to get it to how I want it to be! Overall if I had to pick some of my favorites it would have to be the little comic I made of my oc Beau, it's just really silly and makes me smile whenever I see it(he can't read lol) and then probably a little comic I made of my other oc Ling!!!"

Favorite artist on and off Colors? How do they inspire you?
"So I have a few favorite artists (says a few but lists 200), Sacked.potato on Instagram, Musubiki on tumblr, and finally jayessart on Instagram."
"I really like musubiki’s art because it’s really pastel and her story TCWG is really cool.
Sacked.potato has an awesome webtoon called ‘Our Wish’ and it’s really good, the art and the story, I’d totally recommend!"
"Finally Jayessart, Jayesssart has a lot of webtoons and all of them are about mermen in some way, her art is crazy good!!!"
"On colors it has to be @loaf-of-bread_ and @Thatchurro, they are both fantastic peeps with wonderful art styles and both are so sweet, like their art makes me smile everytime I see it and it just makes me really happy!"

I'm sure you've accumulated a lot of valuable knowledge over the years. What're some nuggets of wisdom you'd like to share with your fellow Colors Gallery artist?
"Oh me? Wisdom? Um… ugh… So don’t be too hard on yourself like I am because if you put too much pressure on yourself to make perfect art you're just not going to have fun with it. I should really take my own advice but truly try to just have fun and don’t care if it’s perfect or not, just have fun and go wild!!!"
What do you prefer on your toast? Butter, jam, or syrup?
"All three of course! How can I pick one!? Or I can totally go full Buddy from ‘Elf’ and put sweets all over it and just drown it with syrup that's good to!!!"

What would you say are your biggest strengths and weaknesses? What defines you the most?
"My biggest weakness would be giving up too easily, sometimes when something is hard usually I give up and toss it or I'll do the opposite and push myself way to hard and just tear myself down. What defines me? I know it’s going to sound cheesy but it's my friends and family everyone has always been so supportive. I’d say my biggest strength is… I don’t know does sleeping count?"

What are some plans and goals you have for the near or far future?
I’ve actually considered going into marine biology in the future! I find the ocean a fascinating place that we should be protecting! Only 5% of our ocean has been explored and it’s cool to think what fascinating creatures we can find in that other 95%! The ocean is gorgeous!!!

How do you handle being burnt toast? When you're burnt out and can't come up with ideas what's your main solution?
"I'll grab a bunch of different mediums (Paint, wax, glue, etc.) and just tear up a canvas... it's a unique process but it gets my creative side running again. Sometimes I'll punch the canvas or stick random things on it!!!"
