When I was a teenager I was very angsty. This was a metaphorical representation of the smile, and happiness people say me with all the time, while inside I was hurt and broken. When I grew older, I decided I liked the symbolism still and kept it, even though I don't hide my real emotions behind a 'mask' anymore ^.^
