Sonic has HIS games slowed down to because no one would be able to control him at the speed of sound.

For the sonic fans search "how fast is sonic?" on youtube, it's a game theory episode. It proves that sonic isn't as fast as you think and even mario is faster than him. I just thought i wanted to share this interesting video.

Another reason that he is the fastest is because he can travel to other galaxies in about a second. The closest galaxy to ours is 25,000 light years away and this galaxy is within ours, so that means Mario travels about 788399999999 times faster than light! If his games were in real time, he would probably beat the game in about a yoctosecond (1 SEPTILLIONTH of a second)!!!

In Sonic Chaos, Sonic was clocked in, running at an average of 768 MPH. Also, with the original name of Jumpman, I would expect him to jump on anything.

Before anyone brings up Game Theory... too late... If SEGA or Sonic Team themselves states that their character runs at a certain pace, theres really no reason arguing with them because it's their character. Game Theory can throw around all the scientific hypothesis they want, but as they state at the end of every episode, it's just s theory.

And uh, play Super Smash Bros. Brawl and have Sonic run alongside Mario. Case closed. He can even Jump and kick/spindash bullet bills away if you choose him in the story mode after unlocking him. Sooo yeah. Thanks for reading! #Sonic ^.^

Also, about Mario traveling Galaxies, he can only do this with help from Rosalina and her observatory, so that really can't count as his actual speed because he has aid in doing so. Sonic can just go faster than him on his own two feet rathet than having some sort of power-up or help.

And wtf are you talking about the whole mario galaxy thing? And mario isn't aided when he flies through space, he just spins in a star because he can only fly through certain paths. Rosalina just tought him how to spin. Skill aquired ya' know? That's like saying sonic is aided when running, because his parents taught him how to walk.

Sonic's games are slowed down... A LOT! Think about it... When Sonic uses a LIGHT-SPEED-DASH you can still see him moving at a decent speed.
And that game THEORY is a video on YOUTUBE. You can't just belive what you hear on the internet!!!

But to be realistic neather of them are fast cause Sonic's a hedgehog and Mario's a fat plumer... -_-
