I get tired of eating my own cooking so Spam the way you talked about would have been fine too. Now BBQ I never get tired of. I grill some awesome baby back ribs! Today I'm doing Bratwurst on the grill, with sour k.r a.u.t, and german fried potatoes in bacon grease with, garlic, & onions. Now I have to go get the charcoal going. I'm starving again. Can you believe s.a.u.e.r.k.r.a.u.t is censored!

Mocha Ice Coffee!

Yummy, Carol! On all of it, but especially the iced coffee! I'd add whipped cream and chocolate syrup and make it dessert with some homemade chocolate hazelnut biscotti! And, no, I can't believe that word is censored! What? Is it anti-American?

But angel food cake is good for you! If we are talking fake food, the let the fat, calories, and sugar fly! Seriously, though, I made a great angel food cake about a week ago that I ate with fresh raspberries and Philly Indulgences dark chocolate.

Angelwithana, believe it or not, I don't drink. Smoke my cigs., Ice coffee and sweet tea. I used to drink when I was in the Army in 78. I take some meds, it's better not to drink now. Sorry :(

Carol, I have to really watch the alcohol...just the occasional splash of liquer or small glass of wine...Wow, me, you, and Josh all smoke...LOL That's unusual in this day and age!

Zelda, I could grill some tempeh for you...or I could saute some marinated tofu with the veggies! I have chronic anemia, so I have to take in red meat...supplements don't absorb in my system. Otherwise, I could go vegetarian. Are you vegan, or just vegetarian?

Just vegetarian. I can't digest meat. Been oh 38 years now. I love tempeh:) and tofu:) Thank-you.

Zelda, I love tempeh myself...I love the multigrain variety! Ican only eat very good (in other words, expensive) cuts of meat. Filet mignon, cooked very rare, is the only cut of beef that never gives me problems. I had surgery about ten years ago and, because of my condition, developed excessive scar tissue. So, have to be careful. Still, considering that I was in a wheelchair this time last year and worked my way out of it, I'm doing great!

Angelwithana if you have swap note, I sent you something. I love bacon wrapped filet mignon. Rare, I like it to quiver when I stab it. And sooooo juicy. Yum. Glad you're out of that wheelchair. Been there too.

Ive been taking care of my lil bro, he's been in the wheelchair since March 14th....and meat...rare?!? NEVER that for me..burnt to a crisp...more like filet o' BOOT for the Hook....lol

And I do the cookin in my house! I just wish my kids had better taste...ramen and mac n cheese is gettin old...ROFL

Carol, I was gonna say the same thing to Josh about cooking all the flavor out! I like mine seared on the outside, mooing when I cut into it!

Josh, I can totally relate! My daughter, Sallie-Beth, eats chicken nuggets with hot ranch (her own sauce concoction), ramen noodles with marinara sauce (and there has to be parmesan cheese or she won't eat it), and frozen pizza (pepperoni and she only likes one brand). She will eat better when we go out, but that is rare! Who can afford it these days? I think it's nice that you take care of your brother. I live with my sister and her family. I pay most of the bills right now - my brother-in-law and nephew are both out of work right now. But, they are family, you know? I hope I can stay out of the wheelchair for a long while. My condition causes my ligaments to fall apart, so eveentually, I'll be back in there. But, I pray God will help me stay out of it until I'm at least sixty!

Oh, and I there is my daughter's bacon fetish! She'd live off of the stuff if she could! She will eat bacon dipped in Louisiana hot sauce as a snack! She gets her love of hot foods from me, but still wish she would eat healthier!

ok, my bro is deaf, my dad is blind, and my mom has been in a wheelchair for 15 years. Our family get togethers are actually hilarious. We all make do, ya know?

Nerdoloco, I totally understand! I laugh 'til I cry or cry 'til I laugh - you have to... If your brother and Dad act like Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor in Hear No Evil, See No Evil, then they are a blast! I love people who can laugh through all of life's difficulties...People who can't...well, I pity them, but they also tire me out!

Yep, totally agree. Good food, good company, what more could you want? Oh, yes, drawing, good hobbies help, too! And I love that movie. I only watch comedies.

Oh, I watch a little of everything....total film geek here...total geek PERIOD, to be honest...but I've grown to love my quirks, especially when I see them in my daughter...
