Oh wow, I was browsing the Homestuck tag and saw your art, and I couldn't figure out why your name sounded so familiar until I realized that I followed you on Hatena. It's cool to see you making awesome stuff on here like you did on there. :>
Yeah, the monthly fee bit put a damper on the excitement. I think it'd probably be preferable to pay a few bucks up front with no further payments, like with Colors!3D. <:I At least it'll be better than Swapnote for sending stuff to friends.
And yeah, Voltaire seems to be pretty unknown. Surprising considering the volume and variety of his work. I keep trying to get my friends to listen to him but they never do. l:c
Well, the program is free regardless, but yeah, we only get one free month of the online community. l:T I do wonder how they're gonna have people pay the fee.
Brains is pretty good, but it's hardly a representation of all his work. He does so many different things that he's like his own genre, which is cool but is a bit hard to explain to people you want to listen to it. My favorite song's probably the Headless Waltz, what about you? c:
Same. It just seems like such a hassle to have to pay every month, and after a while all those "small fees" would build up. :T
I haven't listened to Land of the Dead very often, but When You're Evil is brilliant. Definitely one of my favorites as well. Have you seen any of his Lair of Voltaire vlogs?
Three dollars a month? That's a ridiculous to pay just to be able to post and view videos online. >:U And then there's the whole thing about popular creators not having to pay, that seems really unfair.
The Lair of Voltaire is his series of video newsletter things on Youtube. It can get pretty funny, worth watching if you've got some extra time.
Yeah, they said that the fee would be reduced or waived for the highest ranked creators. :[ Definitely not fair.
As for the Lair of Voltaire, it's not animated, though he has discussed his animations a few times. Mostly he answers questions from fans, often with interesting anecdotes, and talks about up-and-coming events and albums. He's even writing a book titled Call of the New Jersey Devil.
I don't know if I should keep commenting on this picture or on your newest one... >>"
I hope they get rid of it too. It's really unfair, because not many people have the time and/or talent to get a shot at the most popular. It'll only help to isolate the top creators and make them seem more like celebrities that're obligated to provide entertainment for their fans, instead of just normal young adults goofing off on an animation program.
I need to catch up on the Lair of Voltaire, actually, I haven't been watching recently. Doesn't help that my headphones are on the fritz.
And considering the way the most popular worked on Hatena, once someone makes it to the top it's easy for them to stay there, making it even harder for others to get up there. :T
The speakers work fine, I just don't really care for my family to be able to hear whatever I'm listening to.
Yeah, it really does... I just don't know what they're thinking doing this, now that being popular has actual value there'll be even MORE star-beggar types. :[
If you only count it from the start of the reboot, like I've been doing, you're just on season 1. :o There's way too much classic Doctor Who to ever hope to catch up on, especially since some of the episodes have been lost permanently.
Ughh, I know, spin-offs could get so annoying. I hope they find some way of keeping stolen flips out of the most popular, but I doubt they will...
I've only seen a little bit of classic Doctor Who, the selection of it on Netflix is so random that it's hard to get into and follow. I've watched all of 9 and 10 and I'm starting on 11 though, the new series is really fantastic.
Yeah, it wouldn't be such a big problem if people would just lock their flips. :T Also, I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I heard they might extend Flipnote Hatena since so many people are still using it.
I haven't heard anything about a 12th doctor yet. :o It makes sense, Matt Smith's been around for almost 3 seasons now. I wonder who'll replace him?
Aw man, having a game system die sucks. I remember when my first DS finally gave out after 7 years of use, it was pretty disheartening.
Well, season 7 started not too long ago and it's the 11th doctor's third season, so maybe they'll switch him out at the end of this one. I wonder how many doctors they'll go through before the show ends...
My DS that broke was one of the original models, they were sturdier built. It didn't die until both hinges broke and the top screen was attatched by just the wires, which were eventually damaged enough that it gave out and shut off. I've had my DSi a good three years now as well and it shows no signs of breakage. fv:
True, but no tv show can last forever. Doctor Who'll have to end eventually.<:I It could be decades until that happens, though.

It's no problem, your drawings are fantastic. Are you gonna get Flipnote 3D when it comes out?
Also I couldn't help but notice that your profile says you like Voltaire! I've never met anyone else who actually knows who he is.

Maybe it'll be a monthly most popular thing? I can't see it working for a constantly updated list like the old Hatena had...
To bring up a new topic, how much Doctor Who have you seen? :o I've just gotten to the end of season 4.
