Entry for Celestialstar/Basch's contest! I chose the element of darkness :D Shadow is a paracorn (although her horns are virtually useless in the magic department) and her weapon is Serpent, a poison-dipped scimitar.
Gold poison.

Nice job! I like the diamond-like markings on her hooves. They remind me of Gihrahim (hope I'm spelling that right) for Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

[Celestialstar] Alright, here we go. Be warned, I'm downright awful at backstories;
Name: Shadow Key. Age: 17.
Shadow spent most of her young years alongside her father, a locksmith. She was fascinated by keys and locks and how they fit together perfectly. During this time, Shadow and her father became close and she created many of her best memories with him. However, this happiness was short-lived. Upon the night of Nightmare Moon's return, her father was brutally mur.dered by a Canterlot guard when he was mistaken for one of Nightmare's supporters. Although Nightmare Moon was sealed away and Shadow escaped with only minor lacerations, she will never forget the sound of her father's cries as his throat was slit. Now, she prowls the shadows, looking for the guard that kil.led her father, believing that revenge will be the key to unlocking her heart.
