Four tunnels in a cave,
One leads to safety, the others to doom.
Choose your path wisely,
here is a clue:
The surface is up, the pathway to air,
but you do not know what lies beyond there.
Yet there is another giver of breath,
May its prescence guide you away from death.
That's Ecco. And if you know him, I want to give you a high five! Sorry that he doesn't look as great as the background. I'm new to digital art and I'm still getting used to it.

Thank you all for the encouraging comments! And yes, Major Tom, I have submitted it for Mysteries of The Deep already. Thanks for suggesting it though! I hope that I can win this one! I just got Colors! about a week or so ago and I'm lovin' it! So which path will you choose?

Skarecrow, you are amazing! I'm so glad that you know who Ecco is! He deserves way more love than he gets. So which game(s) have you played? I've only played Defender of The Future. Took me sooooo long to complete! Fave game of all time, though!
And as for the answer to the pathway, I'll reveal that after the WC is ended. Don't wanna spoil it for everyone else!

JJMAwaken: Dangit! I knew that Ecco looked too much like a fish. I tried my best to get the right angle for a horizontal tail fluke, but the way Ecco curves made it very difficult. It's a dolphin, by the way, but I don't blame you for the mistake. That's my fault. The tail is off. And thanks for your input! Much appreciated!

For all those wondering - or maybe not . . . - the correct pathway is the purpley glowing one. Downwards is the only way forwards! Great job, Skarecrow, for guessing it right! But for all those who guessed wrong . . . DOOOOOOOOOM! That is all.
