You can like what you like. There's no formal method of liking.

Actually, there are no 'rules' for liking something - in fact 'likes' aren't even mentioed in the 'Colors' manual. But, I agree that they are often used in ways that have more to do with social networking and very little to do with art.

Yeah theres no rules. But its obviously what its meant for. This is an ART gallery. Not a Chat Forum, or a Meme base.

I do agree though, that cheaply made pictures, like traced ones (and/or quickly written pictures) do not need likes. You can tell that this picture though, is a cheap way to get likes.

Also this picture wouldn't be considered "art" in your sense, so therefore, it does not belong here.

Yes, I did read the description, thouroughly in-fact. But seriously, you're being a hypocrite. This does not belong in the gallery at all, since it is after all, an "art gallery" Anyways, the gallery is for art, and not for complaining or debating, so let's end it there.

Wow what did i just walk in? a fued about likes? i gotta agree with komodo on this one, funny pics are getting way too many likes, what they worked hard on writing the letter ''A'' big frickin whoop, besides most of em arent even funny, so art thats had alot of effort put in deserves likes, funny pics of jokes on the otherhand not so much.

You should make a painting about the 'follow me and ill follow you' thing. I only follow people for 2 reasons, i either love their art, or they are a friend.

This is art. What is the big feud here. I leave to take of my mom, and everybody goes stupid? This pic/star is art, sorry not being rude, but I'm not an artist by no means, and made twb 3 times with my old account that someone hacked into. Ask superstar. Dang can't you complainers grow up, get over it! Art is in the eye of the beholder!

I agree about the "like for like", you should EARN likes, but if I see something funny, no matter HOW bad it was drawn, I'll like it.

I can agree with not liking written out crap but I trace always on colors because it's a good way to learn how to draw and dots, blanks, ect I believe should be reported on sight. They are so frigen anoying and space consuming and a lot of people just think it's funny yet it's terrible. Once a person got turned down at an art museum so he went to the dump, got a toilet seat, decorated it and the museum loved it. Then someone took a close look at it. That man made a point about what we think REAL art is.

There was a girl who was abused in her childhood in the same way as me who expressed it by drawing. It wasn't super art with detail...and you're saying it shouldn't be liked because she didn't draw it good and because I comprehend it in a way different than just "I like the way it's drawn"? That's cruel...I don't have very many likes on my pics but I'm not gonna go to war on people just because they won't like my pics too. I disagree with you, sorry. I like LOTS of pics because they're drawn good AND because I agree AND because I can relate. That's what the dang website was made for. If it were the way YOU say it should be then they would have said so.

There is no right or wrong in what people like. And, in reality, DOES IT MATTER? 'Like abuse' isn't hurting anyone, it's just people complaining because the art they worked hard on isn't getting likes, which I understand, but THIS, the complaining about nonexistent issues, will not help, and it needs to stop, it is only making people argue, and it, i'm sorry I have to say this, but, is wasting space on the gallery. So sh.ut up about like and move on.
