It depends on how long you want the animation to last. What you can do is do it a few times and then save and press play. Watch it and see if it's long enough. If not, keep swapping layers. What I actually do is work on another layer while switching layers. For example, say I'm writing words on an invisible background layer so they'll appear later, I swap layers between open and closed mouth each time I write a single letter. Then I stop when I'm done writing and move the written layer up. This was for an animation, right? I hope I explained that well!

Also, thank you so much for following me, but I'm confused by your question on my shading animation. Maybe you can explain what you're trying to do?
