Stitch, start with a circle to get the jawlines and the top of the skull and draw a line like I do, to indicate the Neckline. Then do some helplines for the snout, and work in details by details. First try to get decent inklines, then go over and make the shading ;)
Another tip is to start on a gray canvas, makes it easier to do highlights, this way you can get a good contrast in your picture.
