Jiri was trudging through the night, feeling the cold rain on her soft skin. She had began to run in the middle of no where, wishing she could fly. She blinked the cold rain away from her blue & yellow eyes, trying to see better. She began to run out of breath. She wanted to cry so badly, and could feel the pain rising to be screamed out, but she pushed it down. One wrong move and she could wipe out the whole Star race. She looked at the Starfire.

"Maybe I could use this to light my way." She muttered. Ma always said the Starfire would protect her in times of trouble. She rubbed it, and it lit up. Great! She thought. Then a feeling hit her. She was alone. The Stars are all gone or hiding. She has no friends left. No parents, no family. She's completely alone. Tears started rolling down her face. She fell to the ground, gobbled up in her sadness. She looked at the Starfire, which managed to stay dry. "At least I have you..." She muttered, rising to her feet. She moved her hand to wipe the mud off her pants, but the rain took care of it. Drenched and tired, she needed shelter badly. I can't carry on much longer, she thought to her self. She suddenly collapsed, the Starfire rolling out of her little hands. The stars on Jiri's hands dimmed. She had blacked out.
