My Grandmother actually had a tredle-operated sewing machine and I learned how to sew on it. This is not like her sewing room, but the sewing machine on the right is based on my memory of hers.
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

That's so cool. I have my Grandmothers old Singer that has the pedal. I think it's older than me.

Grandma's was definitely older than both of us...it was an antique when I was 10...as many high tech machines as there are out there now, sometimes I wish I still had that one!

Keep at it...sewing is one of the few skills I learned in my childhood that I still use on a regular basis...

Back in my time, they used to teach Home economics in middle school. Cooking and sewing. Had a lot of fun. I learned how to make brittle then.

you do very well with these types of drawings, I don't see a lot of artists do rooms on here, nice change of pace and very nice use of color, especially that spool of thread, lovely blue!

There's an old 'Singer' foot pedal machine about 5 feet from where I am right now - my sister bought it (used) to use it years ago, but it seems to have become a peice of furniture.
