He's not the only one to have been in that room. The creator who made this (who later on made a living straightjacket) also made thousands of mindless beings to test the subject. Unfortunately, they still felt sympathy, and felt inclined to help the zipped mainiac. The zipped maniac also has brief mind control, so that explains the writing on the wall...
