This is my Greek character, Solarius. Solarius is not a godess. She is in love with Helios. Many years ago she smelled the flowers at night when they were not in bloom. (Helios said not to because it's sweet smell could put you in eternal sleep.) Helios was furious, but Solarius admitted her feelings and pleaded for no punishment. (More info in comments.) #Greece

As I was saying...
Helios felt bad, and said she was to be locked away never to see him again. Two years had passed and Helios decided to see her again. She had a flower in her hand, it was wilted. She was slowly dying, as well. Helios tried to walk away, not caring for her. Solarius slowly whispered, ''The feeling of death isn't as painful as...'' Helios was silent. ''...As the pain I feel without you...'' Helios released her. She still was due to a life of punishment. He decided another fate that did not include her from never seeing him.
Helios transformed her into a sunflower. Every Summer and Winter solstice, she transorms into a human for the day. All the other days, she gets to see Helios every day when she wakes up and before she goes to sleep. Helios never forgot about Solarius. But every time she starts to wilt, Helios will always be there. Every thousand years on the summer and winter solstices, you can see them both walking off together into the horizon.
