TnT) i think this "rule" causes WAY more drama on here, then there needs to be, im 14 and because of this rule, my friends r getting banned, singled out, stressed out, and losing self-esteem (the last two includes the ones over 13 too) i don't like breaking rules either, but nintendo is supposed to be a system built for kids, and they're going more and more "kid unfriendly" with each new system -_-

..The Colors!3D app IS for everyone. Creating an online account is for 13 and up . You dont have to go online to use it.

Let me explain some reasons I can see why this rule is in place;

The immaturity (as you have all nicely proven)

Another reason (most likely the biggest reason) is for YOUR OWN PROTECTION. There could be any kind of p*rvert or Ped*philes on here.

^idk, i guess the congress ppl in the legislative branch of authority made that law.... i didn't even know this law existed until i met K_W, then when he acknowledged this i realized that 13plus goes for almost everything, (ex. "draw my thing", "facebook" [which i DONT have and DONT want], "post it draw it", "wii u play", and then there's colors!3D)

Age restrictions are there because if they weren't, parents would be getting this app for their children. (6 or 9 or etc.) which would (most likely, depending on the person) lead to absolute garbage being posted on the gallery. Granted, half of the younger audience have lied about their age, it is still a rule, and the fact that you lied about your age shows the reason as to why this is a rule and as to why it is so widely supported by the community. If you're not going to follow that rule, the rule that is rammed directly into your vision before joining, who's to say you'll follow any other rules?

@all the people complaining: Nintendo and colors aren't the ones at fault. They're forced to have a thirteen or older (or fourteen or older) age requirement because of COPPA, which is a law that says that any site that allows people under thirteen to join it HAS TO BE G-RATED AND COMPLETELY FAMILY-FRIENDLY OR ELSE IT CAN BE SHUT DOWN. This is why sites like flipnote hatena and neopets have such strict rules regarding the types of content you can post(which is where the infamous NO BL OOD rule on hatena comes from), and rules saying you can't use profanity(in the case of neopets, you aren't even allowed to use the words "crap" or "hell"),since they allow people under thirteen to join.

That is also the reason why deviantart and colors ban underage users. If they don't ban those people, those sites can and probably would get shut down.

Emmy, when you joined the galllery, you had to tick a box saying you were over 13. If you were under that age and ticked it, you broke not only te rules, but the law, by commiting fraud.

well Emmy i dont know if there's a law, but if there is, i disagree with it, but i thought about K_W's side of the arguement and i noticed that there was ALOTA age requirements for other stuff too, (it's really annoying how they say "sorry, ur too young")
things like facebook, post it, draw it (a cpu game) some console games (like zombie U), draw my thing (another cpu game), Wii U play, and many more, so i know that K_W doesn't have a Wii U and im pretty sure he doesn't have an account on those cpu games i mentioned, so if he didn't make it, it must've been made by a government, therefore must be a law, (just an as.sumption) but i like all the underage pplz on here, i have ALOTTA younger friends (im 14) most of my friends r 12 or under (in real life, AND on here) who aren't supposed to do things because of their age, so i understand ur pain....

i hope it's not a law, cuz i 2 years i was 12 and got on some things that im not supposed to get on until i was 13 (like draw my thing the cpu game), so im afraid they might catch up to me and arrest me O.O i cant survive in jail

The stupid thing is with colors, even though it has all these rules (age, pron ect) you never see a Moderator or anything. They let anyone get away with most things. The report button is there so we can do their jobs really. Very lazy.
