The World in Colors! by raiu_tree

My entry to the "Paint the world in colors" contest! I decided to go for a more literal approach to the theme, but I think it ended up pretty good, if I may say so myself!
Also, a tip for drawing all those 90 degree lines, I find the easiest way is to size the drawable area to where you want it and draw along the edge of the screen (I'm still new to Colors, so I don't know if that's well known yet).
Anyway, I had alot of fun with this one, and good luck to all the other entrants!

wow that is so cool! i'm planning to enter too but have no idea what i should do yet! the theme is straigt forward but becausebof that it's so hard!!! :(

I don't usually approve of tracing, but seeing as the world is probably one of the hardest things to draw freehand I'll let you off. Lovely concept! It reminds me of Apple Macs because ofthe smooth rainbow gradient. :)

Actually, it wasn't traced; I had a picture of a globe, which I drew a grid over, and then looking between it and a grid I drew here, I drew the land-masses!

This deserves to win! I love the addition of the rainbow colours and the 'play' sign. It really adds the Colors! theme to the painting! However, I'm not sure you'll be able to stand up to some of the 3D paintings. In my opinion, your best chance of winning is to re-upload this in 3D.
