San shifted in her lynx form. For some odd reason, she felt as if she could shift into something stronger... but she pushed away the thought, thinking her upgrade was still to come. The one thing that felt different... she felt faster. "Hm. How odd..." San thought as she felt herself light on her paws, zooming through the tall grass. She then came to a halt; the portal was there. "All right, felines." It felt strange saying that, but she couldn't possibly say "people" when not one of them remained in human form. "It's time to jump in." San still had her backpack, with all the supplies. (Don't ask how she's wearing it, or how she's wearing her clothes, I have no idea. Just say it's magic.) "So... this is it, guys. We jump in now." San suddenly realized how anxious she was. "What REALLY happens to you when you go through a portal? Do you get re-born? Or, what if this was all a big old April Fool's prank? How does a portal even WORK?" All these questions were buzzing in San's head, and she tried to ignore them. She would most likely be the first one to go through... San gulped. "Can somebody do it with me...?" San didn't want to look like a wimp, but it was even worst to think of what happened to your body when you went through a portal. Sanura gulped again. She lifted her foot over the Void-like water... and dipped her toe in. Just like when you first try to step in a really cold pool, except this pool was warm. San could feel her toe being dragged by the current, but she held her leg tightly in place. She took a big gulp of air... and jumped in completely.

She felt herself being pushed around, tossed and flipped over 'underportal'. The sinking seemed to take forever, and San felt as if she was running out of air and breathing 'underportal' all at once. Finally, she felt herself fall out in real air... ---
only to be back in Time Square.

(WHOOPS I meant Central Park WHOOPS!!) "What the heck?" She exclaimed. "What... what are we doing here? How did we even GET here? Why... oh, I knew it all along! This is a big prank someone really nifty did to us. Probably a cinema special effects guy who knew how to make stuff look like magic." Sanura didn't find it funny at all. In fact, she was quite upset. "I bet you if I look at my shadow, it will be just norm--" It wasn't. It was still in the shape of a bobcat. "Oh no. Oh no... this can't be real, can... can it?" She looked up. It was literally raining cats and dogs. Oh, add snakes, wolves and birds and occasional dragons and you got it. "What happened...?" San muttered under her breath as she looked around her. Everything seemed normal, except... ANOTHER portal in the middle of a lake in Central Park. "Oh great. Come take a look at this. I can SO picture this tomorrow: ''SCANDAL! A huge group of wild animals travel around New York, disappearing here and appearing there. Is magic finally in our world?'' The One is really putting up a show for the New York citizens, that's for sure." San sighed. "I guess we have to go through this a-maze-ing portal chase now..."

"Should I send a scout to check things out first? " Asked Lince who was just as confused as everyone else. He cocked his head still in bird form.

"Well, I guess we can never be too careful... the issue for us is, how do we even GET to the portal? And we can't stay here, if I had to take a guess... there are bounties on our heads, kudos to the government." San had this way of making the worst moments almost humorous. "I just want to fight the dude who's behind all of this, get it all over with and go back to my normal life. So if this portal doesn't lead us to the One, Imma go MAD." Sn didn't even wait for the scout to return. She just zoomed to the lake and literally dove in. "The government's already after us. I mean, why not." she muttered under her breath as she did over-the-surface breaststroke. Once she was almost at the portal, she did a synchro egg-beater boost and lifted herself up in the portal. And then she was gone. This time, she didn't land in New York...

"I agree we have to get out of here." With that she leaped through after San. (Sorry I am too stressed out to write a long response)

Night leaped into portal after Autumn and San. She felt her body suddenly splashed with the magical purplish luminescent liquid. Night opened her eyes. She could SEE under this stuff. Night's hair floated and whipped around in it and she continued sinking--fast.
After she was spit back out onto ground, she was dry! Like that liquid had never touched her. Night stood up and brushed off her shoulder. "Weird..." She mumbled. Night looked up. Towering abover her were humongous buildings and behind her was trees. "Oh great! Not here again!"
Night turned to the others. "So, uh, what do we do now? Jump back in the portal? I assume it would take us back to the cave, but it could take us somewhere different..." Night didn't know what to do. When San mentioned "maze" and "puzzle" Night's spirit lifted up and her eyes lightened. She LOVED logic and puzzles.
"Well, there could be a different portal, or something. Or maybe there isn't even another portal! Maybe the entrance to his erm, 'lair' is right here in Central Park!"

(Can we get different forms when we want, like Autumn did? Are there any rules or limits?)

(Well, I thought we just had three forms: human, basic and upgraded. We have to reveal our upgraded forms, by, uh, doing something and getting rewarded by our spirits... I think... did that sound convincing enough?)

(Didn't San go through the other portal already? I'm a little confused... I think we went from the cave to the first portal, with the animals, and we popped up in Central Park, where another portal(in the middle of a lake)awaited the 200 animals... then San(as a lynx) leaped in the lake and jumped in the other portal. I think Autumn followed...)

(About the upgraded forms... I was thinking of having all the shifters' forms 'boosted', so... Cat = cougar, Bird = uh... I dunno... pterodactyl? Wolf = dire wolf maybe?Ddragon = I dunno either, we have to figure something out for that one. There isn't much that's better than dragons... time to search up through mythology books! Lynx = meh, can I surprise you guys?)

(Yes she did and autumn followed, Shifters have human, basic and then evolved forms, although if a shifter masters their powers, which takes years, they can shift into any animal as long as they touch that particular animal that they want to turn into.)

(Bird would be arcyapotrics, the ancestor of birds. Wolfs, dire wolves, dragons....uh...they are epic as it is)

(I was thinking the birds from lord of the rings, or maybe a feuding. Dragon could turn in to a bigger dragon I don't know there. )

San opened her eyes. She was out of the portal. The place she was in was certainly not New York. She felt herself being shoved a little. "Probably an air current..." San thought to herself. She looked up. Over her, she could see a floating replica of the portal, with animals raining down next to her. It was a rather silly view, but what can one say? Portals can act silly when they want to. Sanura waited for everybody to be in the room she was in; a metal closed off room, and by the smell and feeling of it, it was underground. "Alright everyone." San tried to calm her nerves. Now, she was feeling very swift and fast. "We have to find the One." As she ran at the only door, she felt her paws lift off the ground and rapidly coming down, in a soft and continuous loop. It felt like running was what she was made for: it felt like a natural talent, which didn't before. "I wonder what's going on... perhaps it's my upgrade..." San came to a halt. She quickly unshifted so she could open the door, but... it was locked.

(OH MY GOSH! I was writing and pressed a button... Then I lost EVERYTHNG! ;-; -.- I'll just rewrite it....)

(I don't know what form I'll upgrade to... Wolves are pretty much the most powerful canines. OH OH OH I KNOW!!! -Rubs hands together and smirks- But, Night should do something to earn it. Maybe she can solve the puzzle for finding "The One"....)
Night looked from the tall empire building to the ground. "So guys, what should we do?" Night plopped down criss-cross-applesauce. "Where is "The One"? Could he be in NEW YORK?" Night silently gasped. If The One was in New York then he would have already tried to take over or rained some sort of havoc.
"Maybe he IS in New York! Remember how the people seemed in a daze and couldn't remember much? Maybe that was the doing of 'The One'!"
Night started pacing around and thinking. Afterwards she leaned on a tree. Night heard some chattering above her and looked up to see a squirrel looking at her. Night smiled and walked around in the forest. She realized something and stopped then backed up. All the trees were about the same size, tall and unique, but one was especially unique. One tree was taller than the others and its top peaked out like the Empire Building above New York.
Night shifted to a wolf and ran through the forest. She whizzed past all the trees until she skidded to a stop in front of the extra-tall one. The tree was two trees a couple feet apart at the bottom, then curved up and collided with one another into one trunk. At the bottom under the tree where the trees met, was a tunnel-like entrance.
As Night looked around she saw animals going into it. Deer, foxes, wolves, and even the squirrel that had looked at her. They all had eyes completely dark as night. The squirrel looked at her and smirked. Then he trotted under the tree and through the entrance. Afterwards he disappeared! Night looked around to the other side and noticed that no one of the animals were on the other side. They definitely had vanished! Looking closer at the entrance Night noticed that there was a portal in it, with the same color and detail as the other one.
Night's jaw dropped and she instantly dashed back to the other shifters. Breathing heavily she said, "The One, he-he, has an animal army too. I found the entrance, we, we, we've got to do something!"

Meanwhile, in the secret room where San and Autumn were in, the air was getting surprisingly thicker. "What's going on, Autumn?" San wheezed to her friend. The others(along with the 200 animals)were taking a long time to come, and the two shifters that were already in the second portal were starting to suffocate... "Help... we need to warn the others not to come..." San gasped for air, then leaped up in the portal, hoping to go back to New York. The seconds passed like hours, and yet the lynx girl would not teleport back... "We're trapped!" She deducted, and shifted back in lynx form. The two felines were starting to have serious trouble breathing, and the air was getting even worst. A voice resonated in the room... "I am The One... if you advance in the second room, you may fight me... but ha! The door is locked, could you and your cat-friend possibly be so foolish as the come in this trap? Die, useless ones!" San shook her head. With the little air she could hold in her lungs, she grabbed Autumn who was starting to feel faint and jumped in the portal. She KNEW it could bring them back. The seconds passed. And then... San and Autumn popped up in the lake once again.

(It was way longer than that... oh well)

(I dunno... the role-play has been going down lately, no-one posts.... I'm afraid we'll either have to ask Raven for a new pic[but she has so much to deal with already] or just drop the shifters rp... but it's all up to Raven...)

(This is the situation: Lince, Ali, Night and Rose are in Central Park, with the mere 200 animals following them. They're next to a small lake with a portal in the middle, in which Autumn and San went through a few minutes ago. Now, Autumn and San are back in the lake, probably gasping for proper air.)

(Oh.... XP Thanks. Night found another portal, but I don't know if that messes up you and Autumns little plot there. :3)

(XD. I'll just say when Night ran back and told everyone about the portal the animals went through was after you guys popped back out. I think that staightens everything out...)

(Night's running to all the other shifterd to tell them about the little portal she found. So maybe someone should answer her... You guys are kind of leaving her hanging. .3.)

(Yeah I did. I'm gonna go talk to Van, Dragoness and DreamKitten, looks like they have forgotten about this role-play.)

"What?" San was still a little dazed from her half-asphyxiation, but she managed to turn to Night. She was panting and almost shocked. As she spoke about a third portal and a corrupted animal army, Sanura's eyes opened wide. "Wha... oh no... how are we going to beat him if he, too, has an animal army?" Hope was originally slowly escaping from San, but now it had dashed away in a split second. "I'm beat." She sighs before plopping on the ground. "We're never going to beat him..." the lynx girl closed her eyes in despair. Then the Lynx spoke... "You can't give up, San. Your friends and the whole population needs you. We, the spirits, need you. Do you want to see what the world will be like if you give up? Do you?" the Lynx sounded... weaker than usual. Nevertheless, a vision came to Sanura. Central Park, all around her, had become a dump. Dead corpses were everywhere, and darkness ruled over everything. Some soda cans were getting possessed, cutting through everything on their path. What seemed to be a doll was mechanically walking around, with black holes in the place of eyes. B.lood was all over its hair, and it drippled down from its mouth. San had head of 'Childplay', but had never thought it possible in real life. The lynx-shifter got up, screaming. "No! No! This isn't Central Park! This is a messed up, freaky, demented dump!" She yelled, and tears of despair ran from her eyes. Obviously, from the others' point of view, everything was fine except San who was acting nuts. The vision slowly faded as a ghostly human figure ran passed, bloody like crazy. San came back to reality, and as she realized she was crying and screaming, she apologized. "No. We CAN'T give up."

(sorry the colors update was makeing it were I couldn't see your comments, so I thought the road was stared pause till they brought it back up, sorry... I'll comment in just minute, again sorry... )

Night caught her breath again and breathed normal. Then San started shouting, "No! No! This isn't Central Park!" At first, Night was surprised, but then her eyes softened and she smiled. "San is alway the one having the visions." Night thought and laughed while she thought it.

Night walked up to San and put her hand on her shoulder. "This IS Central Park, and it's fine. don't worry." As San seemed to calm down and realize that this wan't the vision anymore, Night asked. "So, that was a vision right? What did it tell you?"

"It showed me... what the world would be like if we didn't beat the One... and man, was it dark... Central Park was a dump... people were only the shadows of themselves, running around screaming like r.etards... and then... this child's doll literally walked passed me, with blo.od dripping from it as if the little girl owning the doll had been cut to pieces... it was ridiculously freaky..." San shuddered as she shifted in lynx form. "Okay, Dark One. This is it. I'm sick and tired of chasing you." San declared, looking up around her to see if something would happen. She then glanced at the other shifters and the animals who were all watching her. San winked to them and turned back to the sky. "Show yourself, you messed up freak! I want to battle you. And if you don't show up here by tonight at 8 PM... then I don't even believe this is all real! And you'll officially turn into a myth! So I want to see you right on this spot, NOW!" the lynx was getting mad. This whole chase had changed her life. Learning that she was different had ruined her life! If she didn't get SOMETHING from all that... she swore to herself she'd do something real bad, like exile herself or whatever. But now, all that mattered was that Sanura was mad, and she wanted to get something out of this mess she was in.

(No one has replied... Seriously, where is everyone?)

Suddenly a menaical laugh rippled through the entire area, the animals all looked fearful, their eyes full of dread. "You ave a lot of confidence for someone with such a weak soul." The dark one rumbled.

Night narrowed her eyes. "Who, me?" Night wouldn't let herself seem week or the slightest bit insignificant compared to him. "Thank you, I'll take that as a compliment. However, I do believe my soul is quite strong. I don't see how someone who would let themselves be crushed, pushed over, or seem weak and wimpy have confidence or get this far. So, I think what you said is a bit contradictory." Night's retort boosted her confidence even more. Plus, it had a hint of humor in it, so that encouraged her to be cheerful and smile. Surely, he wouldn't have liked that.
Night started to wonder what this beast looked like. Even if he was human, human appearances could very a lot. Or he could be some weird creature. Like part dragon, lion, bird, wolf, or something. "Woah that would be weird," Night thought, "If he had a part of each of our spirit animals." The notion seemed odd, especially becaue they were supposed to destroy him.

"Well, we wuldn't have made it this far if we didn't have eachother. We are bonded together, friendship really IS magic, and you will NOT spread us apart! Now show yourself, I say, for I will not wait much longer." San looked around her, hoping to see the Dark One pop out of the trees. Instead, a rumble--perhaps it was a laugh--resonated all around. It didn't seem to come from anywhere in particular. "Ha ha ha. If only my minions had such strong minds. It would be much more entertaining. But I will be satisfied if you only kill yourselves in battle. No diplomacy. Meanwhile, perhaps you would like to know that this small area has been sealed in Mist. Very similar to the Percy Jackson Mist, although everyone is 'mortal'. Besides me, that is." The wind rustled in the trees of Central Park, like a ghost was roaming above the shifters' heads. "The point is, no ordinary human will be able to enter this small radius. We will battle here, and--if you permit me--one on one. No animal armies... YET. Agreed?" The Dark One's voice sounded like an old woman mixed with a middle-aged man mixed with toddlers and more men. In one word, it was... chaotic. San felt the need to answer, but she didn't know if it was safe. They were six against one, but that 'One' could corrupt souls and do all sorts of dangerous twists to reality. "Is it safe...?" San whispered to her friends.

Night had to laugh at the "freindship is magic" part. Her little sister watched My Litle Pony, and sometimes she saw it playing on the TV.
"Wait, San? I thought that the portal I found was a teleporter to his, uh, lair or whatever. But, we're fighting here? Gosh darn it! We had a surprise attack planned and everyhing!" Night sighed. "Oh well."
(Can Night get her transformation? I was hoping the portal she found was going to make them get to his lair, and then that would have made her earn her transformation with her clever mind.)

"Shush!" San exclaimed. "He's here, listening. We can still use the portal whenever we need to, but... uh... I guess we'll have to fight here." The lynx suddenly wondered if it really was a good idea. "Well, we're six against one..." she thought, then turned to her friends. "I say yes." Sanura declared, un-sheathing her claws. "What about you guys?" (WHERE is everyone???)

(XD I have NO idea! It seems like it's just you, me, and Raven! XP)

(I think we're almost going to close this... no-one role-plays anymore D'X Waaaaaa we were so close to the end!!)
