They were so close! Kona could feel it with every fiber of his body. “Sigma! We are almost there!” He barked excitedly to his companion. Sigma grinned. “We’ve been traveling for so long…It will be amazing to finally see Paradise!” She said. Kona laughed. “We won’t just see it! We’ll live there! Together, you and me.” He replied a bit dreamily. Both winged wolves kind of chuckled to themselves, they would finally be safe…Be free! G and Jahos, two other wolves, were journeying along with Sigma and Kona. They appeared to be chatting. Kona smiled, all of them had been through a lot…more than any wolf should have had to endure, But it would be over soon! He did an excited corkscrew around Sigma, smirking, then the surprised she-wolf flew upside down underneath him and clutched his paws, Both wolves spun through the air, howling and laughing. Finally they let each other go to see G and Jahos shaking with laughter. Kona blushed as he looked back at Sigma. She was blushing too. Both smiled nervously and continued to fly towards their destination.

Kona began to feel wary as fog rolled in, it blocked their vision and posed the threat of the wolves becoming separated. He gently let his wing tip touch Sigma’s. “It will be ok.” He said looking straight into her beautiful emerald eyes. She gave a little nod and then both of them looked ahead. The pack flew on though the fog until it began to clear, each of them were tired and probably hungry from the flight. But it was close! They would reach paradise! They would! But that’s what he said to Lilac…when they were traveling to Paradise…now she was gone. No! He couldn’t think that way now. They had to make it!

A shadow appeared on the horizon, Kona felt himself shivering with excitement! It was down there! Right below them! “I see it! We are here! We are here!” He informed the group elatedly. Everyone cheered and as Kona looked at Sigma their eyes meet once again. He gazed into those emerald eyes and fell into an trance. She was perfect in evry way…Kona got closer and closer to Sigma and then…his let his muzzle touch hers andn for a moment they freefell, as the intensity of their love took their attention off of everything. All that mattered was him and Sigma…the warmth of her body next to his was as wonderful as heaven. Then both wolves snapped out of the trance and extended their wings just in time to make a perfect landing. Jahos and G landed beside them looking dumbfounded. Kona grinned like an idiot and looked and Sigma who was doing the same. “Uh…guys…Kona…what the hell are those!” Jahos exclaimed. Kona snapped his head around to see a beautiful sight…paradise in all of it’s glory…and then he saw what Jahos meant…Shadow beasts.

Kona let out a growl. “Brace your selves!” Then the army of the black shadowy wretched creature flew at the wolves, screeching. Kona lunged at the nearest beast, and attacked it viciously and was aware of Sigma fighting beside him. G and Jahos were quickly separated form Sigma and Kona by the beasts. These were creatures of hell…and of the forgotten. Shadow beasts were the most despicable creatures Kona knew of…and he also knew the fate of anyone who fought them. The wolves were surrounded in a sea of black…The shadow beasts stank of death and blood. The screams and screeches of the creatures were deafening in Kona’s sensitive ears. “I won’t let you hurt her!” He screamed battering a few beasts that were near him with his paws.

Then one tackled him from behind, causing a whole group of them to follow, he was overwhelmed quickly…sinking in a sea of shadows, they were all biting and scratching, literally attempting to eat him alive. It was over…Then Kona thought of Sigma , if he fell…she was alone…she would die! Rage fueled strength rushed through Kona’s veins as he stood up, unleashing a shockwave of light energy, it managed to get the beasts off of him for a moment. He frantically searched the battle ground for Sigma. She was in the air, trying to dive at them and then fly back up. Kona leaped up into the air, “Sigma!’ He shouted as he flew towards her. But just before he reached her a beast leaped up and snagged Sigma’s wing. She let out a scream and Kona dove to try to save her. “SIGMA!” He shouted trying to grab her paws as the shadow beast grabbed at her. But more beast leaped at Kona too. Both wolves were dragged to the ground and forced to fight. Kona kept trying to hod them back…but their were just too many. Slash after slash after slash, Kona was buffeted with blows, he ached all over, blood seeping from his wounds, more creatures attacked him, aiming at his legs, he let out cries if agony as he was once again over taken, he collapsed. They kept on attacking, he was losing consciousness…

Then a roar was heard. The shadow beasts all stepped back. A shadow dragon stepped forth and prodded at the two wolves, Sigma was bleeding all over as well, she must have fallen…she was unconscious. It grabbed her with it’s terrible shadowy claws, she laid limp in is grasp, looking thin and defeated. “She could be useful…create a portal to the forgotten at once!” The shadow dragon pronounced, simply tossing her aside. Kona began to shake with anger, blood ran in his eyes, and dribbled out of his mouth. “Leave….her….alone…” He rasped. The shadow dragon simply laughed. “Oh dear! I am so frighten of a defeated bloody mutt.” The dragon said sarcastically. “How about this dog, I cast a curse of which you live forever….but no one will ever see you! Isn’t that what you wanted? To be SAFE???” The dragon snarled. It then charged at Kona, stabbing his claws into the hybrid’s chest, Kona gasped and fought to breath, he shuddered as the dragon grasped his heart, injecting shadowy energy. “Have fun mutt.” It said, it’s voice laced with malice as he tossed Kona aside…Kona spazmed with the dark energy, that forced him to stay conscious. His eyes caught sight of a dark portal appearing and the beasts dragging Sigma through it. Kona shut his eyes…”I’m so sorry Sigma…” (End)

Dragoness; Yes actually that's what I was planning on! Darkwolfstory: G and Jahos were dragged away and most likely killed.....although they MIGHT have still been alive when the dragon called the attack off, I didn't want to make it definate since G and Jahos aren't my characters, but I needed them for proper context i the story...although G was pretty quiet XD
