Faces are hard, really hard. There are a few tricks to learn, and studying anatomy can really help a lot, the structure of the bones, muscles etc. I suggest if your serious, to just look at good tutorials on utube, and on Deviant Art, practice a lot on paper with pencil at first to get form down and shading. Your eye here is good.
