Sera looked to the night sky, but she knew she'd see nothing. She heard the quiet bustling of her pack as they readied for sleep. But Sera didn't want to sleep, she wanted to explore, beyond her packs territory. But as her parents would say "Your a princess, if something happened to you our pack would fall." Sera hated when they brought up the fact that she was a princess. Suddenly, something rustled behind her, and she whipped around growling. "Easy pup." he said. Sera relaxed. It was just her mate Carter. Carter jumped up beside her and licked her ear. Sera let out a long breath and buried her nose in his shoulder fur.

Sera and Carter continued walking and settled down on a firm patch of grass. The prickles wrinkled Sera's nose into a cute little bunch. Carter snuggled up to Sera and drifted off into a deep slumber.
The sun rose in its place, and shot a ray of sparkling yellow across the two. *yawn* 'Morning, Carter! Let's go fetch some k.ill'. 'Okay, hun'. They pranced along the undergrowth, and the trees above them gave a feel of serenity.

"Carter I need to talk to you about something." Sera said worriedly. "What is it?" Carter asked with concern. Sera sat down and scratched the dirt distractedly. "Its just, I want to explore. Im tired of being treated like a princess, I want to explore beyond our pack's restraints." she sighed and continued "I wan't to be free." Carter smiled and licked her ear. "Sera, I would run across the universe for you, and if you want something, rest assured I will get it for you." Sera looked up and flaming amber eyes met ocean blue eyes.

I'm renaming her Sahna.

Sahna giggled at Carter. 'You always know what to say- when I'm hurt, angry, whatever! But... how can you let me be the free Shakude I want to be?' Carter snuggled up to Sahna. 'You know I will. Just think of this, look up to the stars. Every star you see is how much I want and WILL help you.'

Sahna sighed "But I can't just leave, I'm next in line to be leader, but I don't really want to be leader." Carter looked at her, his blue eyes full of love. "Then lets go."

'But... I can't... think of what that will do to everyone!' 'If everyone cared about you, they would let you be free; and trust me, they care about you. Let's leave. Sahna's eyes filled with crystal tears. 'Honey! It's okay! I promise! I will do anything for you!'

So they ran, they ran until the scent of their pack was far behind. Somewhere deep in an unknown forest they collapsed. "Carter, we made it, we actually did it," Sahna said panting. "Yeah, we did," said Carter. They each made a nest out of bracken and drifted into a sleep filled with dreams of adventures together.

Sunlight casts down on the dew-sprinkled grass. The delicate and subtle droplets form a perfect bubble; glassy like and smooth, reflecting what looks into it.
Sahna stretched, yawned, and rolled on her side. The earth was cold, and the grass tickled her nose. Carter rolled over and slowly opened his crusty eyes. 'Good morning, my dear!' Carter greeted. Sahna opened her amber eyes. She cracked her back, and the restless night before came back to tease her. 'Good morning dear... I'm sooooo tired...'
