Think the rapis.t is not horribly punished? Think the little kid is not rewarded and offered eternal happiness?
He lets things happen because it was the rapis.t's choice. He is then sentenced to unending pain, suffering, and darkness.
And yes, he DOES step in occasionally. When he doesn't, there's normally a positive reprocussion.

Earth is just a test. If we live selflessly, we are rewarded. If you are slaughtered horribly it was the rapis.t's fault. He failed the test. Your's ended early.
Look at it from God's perspective: He's looking for devoted followers who will follow Him without proof. If you save every little child, everyone will know there IS a God. Thus, my explanation.

good comment above. If your an athiest than you don't believe in an absolute truth which means that i can have my own right and wrong and i believe that you can go and r*pe children all you want and you can't tell me i'm wrong cause there is no absolute (which is an absolute). Well, i'm a christian and i believe that raping children is wrong and that it's a very bad thing but God is not going to go POOF! and k.ill a person cause they did something bad cause if He did we would all be dead and thats why He sent Jesus to die for us and that's why there is such a thing as forgiveness

Looks like you've started a debate :D Well I agree with this quote I think if there is a God he shouldn't just allow so much suffering on innocent people. That's just my opinion though - discuss :D

...and if there is no God, then how do you decide what is good or evil...without God there is no right or wrong.
