Autumn had left the house. And good timing too...She had seen a black van pull up to her front door before she had dashed into the woods near by her house. She had been sure to pack some supplies, like a first aid kit, extra clothes, jerky, chips, and her cell phone of course. Brambles tugged at her jeans, slowing her, but since the dream she had no problem seeing in the dark. And she didn't feel all that tired after having walked for two hours. She stopped for a moment, Where was she going? What did the cat mean? "I'll tell you what I mean." A voice said. It must have been the cat's."You must find others like you...Together, You can do anything, Apart...you will all perish. Find the wild in the middle of the greatest city..." The spirit said. "The wild in the greatest city?" Autumn echoed. But their was only silence. The greatest city? That must be New york. But the wild? What was that? Central park? Well it was worth a try. But how would she get there? It was over 20 miles away! Just to get to New york! Then finding central park would be practically impossible...
Autumn soon began seeing lights through the branches. She went towards the light, and found herself right beside a freeway. Maybe she could hitch-hike. It wasn't illegal or anything...She she did her best hitch-hiker thumbs. At first cars just wizzed by, after a few minutes she became frusterated. People these days! Then an old Ford pulled up, The man inside had a grey stumble beard and smiling eyes, he was of a thin build as well. "What's a pretty Young lady, like you doing out here so late?" The man asked. Autumn felt pretty anxious... She wasn't good with strangers and began to feel like she shouldn't have tried to even tried to hitch hike... "Uhh...I am lost, my boyfriend dumped me here and I need to get back home in New York." She lied. The man's eyes widened. "Sounds pretty harsh, I guess I can get cha' to New york. Get in." He said. "Thank you sir.." She said, getting into the car. Her first step into a new life...

Meanwhile, San and Rose were still trying to think the whole "dream" thing through. "Maybe we are getting warned. Maybe... maybe, I don't know, a group of people want to control us and our... powers--whatever they are--to do... stuff. And that stuff isn't good, so we have to avoid them. Does that make any sense?" San thought out loud. "In our dreams... we met these animals, and now--not only did our shadows change to those animals--but we have their characteristics. I see very clearly in the dark, I feel more agile, swifter, faster... and so on. Rose, did the dragon in your dream remind you of... yourself, too?"

'Yeah it makes sense.' She nodded to San. 'The Dragon did remind me of me... it had blue eyes like mine and it's main and underbelly were pink, like my hair.' She twisted a pink lock in her fingers, 'The rest of it was black, like my hoodie... but it had fur, unlike most dragons. You would think it would have scales. After my dream, I've felt hot like I have fur, I'm so fast, it is like the wind chases me... I can almost fly. But, the strangest part is that...plants speak to me.'

"What?" San was surprised. "So we have secondary effects, too? Maybe... maybe I have something strange like that, too." (Let's say... I can "control" water. I don't know, that's kind of random...) San looked around her, and noticed a sign indicating a lake was nearby. "Want to go near that lake? I've always loved bodies of water for some reason." She smiled at Rose. "I wonder why we have these 'animal spirits'... maybe... maybe we can do something with them. Maybe... I don't know... It'd be really neat if we could switch to animal forms. But I don't know, that's just me." San said, now feeling pretty confident around other girls like her. Then the two teenagers started making their way towards the lake.

(Oh, I know what my secondary effect is! I can "talk to and read" nature. As in, the trees that sway in the wind means something to San, and the river's current means something else, so on. Like the idea?)

Yeah, that's what we all have... but we choose a specific peice, for dragoness, lizards, van is birds, and I have plants :)

Autumn stood in front of a Pizza shop in New York, watching as the man drove away. He had given her a map of the city, which she was examining closely. But her eyelids felt heavy. It was probably 5 am right now...she was exhausted. "Better find a hotel..." She said to herself. She was sure to stick to the shadows, where her secret was hidden. Letting out a yawn she looked around at the city buildings, the bright lights, and the surprisingly busy streets. Then she saw a Holiday inn. Thank goodness. She trudged over to the building and through the doors, stopping in front of the counter, where an old lady stood looking at some papers. "Excuse me mam' but may I get a room?" Autumn said. The old lady looked up scowling. "It's very late Miss. Where are your Parents?"
"I am waiting for my Dad to fly in from Texas, we were going to vacation here, but he got hung up on business matters, So I was instructed to wait here for him." Autumn said, once again lying. The woman cocked an eyebrow. Autumn, then dug through her bag pulling out 60 dollars. "Here you go." The old lady took the cash and handed Autumn her room key. Autumn flopped down onto the hotel bed, letting out a contented sigh. Sleep came quickly to her...
Everything was blurry in her dreams...first she saw trees, then buildings behind them. The wild within the greatest city. Then two faces. A girl with blue eyes and pink hair, and a girl with light brown hair and yellow eyes. Both had odd shadows like her. "There are more...." The cats voice echoed. "But for now this is all I may show you." Autumn woke up, rolling over and glancing at the clock it was now eleven. She stretched and began to get ready for the day ahead. Soaps were lying around in the bathroom so Autumn stuffed a few wrapped ones in her bag.
The green eyed girl, placed the key on the counter and walked out of the hotel. She had a big day ahead...

"So!" San said as the two girls arrived near the lake. "We have these effects, we are being chased... what else?" Sanura examined the swaying of the trees. She could've swore it meant something. "Hm..." she thought.

(Oops forgot to add this!) "Maybe... maybe we should go and try to find the others. What do you think, Rose?" Her mind wasn't really on the search, but more on the rustling leaves. San was puzzled. "I think... I think they are talking to me. I can sense a warning... that something is coming... we should be prepared..." The lynx-shifter thought. Rose was already making her way towards the main entrance. "Rose!" San called after her. "Wait up! I need to tell you something. I just got a message from... the trees. I can read nature, now. It's strange. But the leaves told me... that 'something' is coming. We have to be prepared..." On that note, San took her backpack, lifted it on her shoulders, tightened the straps and set off next to Rose.

Lince tossed and turned, he was dreaming about Ali again. Idiot why are you thinking about her again? Cause I want to see her again, he replied to himself. Hideing in this forest was nice, but lonely. He sent letters to the strange girl and she replied which made him feel less lonley, but he wanted to talk to something other then birds. There was somthing about talking that writing just couldn't replace. Then an idea came to mind. He got out some scratch paper (paper was hard to get, Ali sometimes sent some extra with the birds) he begain writing sounding out the words as he went. "Guess who? " he wrote. Then rolling it up he tieing it to his own leg. Then he consentrated imaginging himself as a bird. He begain shifting and turning till he was green, and red feathered bird. He exsitedly took off he couldn't wait to see the look on Alis' face when she saw... he paused when she sees him turn from a bird to a human... idiot she'll turn you in! No no she wouldn't do that he thought. She wouldn't he repeated flapping on.

(So sorry for being late >.< I had my first music lessons today and...blah. I'll type as much here as I can, and if my grammar is bad, I'm terribly sorry--I'm going fast.)
(Welp, gonna type out my dream, then fast forward)
It was just another stressful day for Aurila. She looked forward to the comfort of her bed enveloping her. She sighed and layed down. For some reason, she drifted into her land of dreams quicker than usual. She found herself walking down her quiet street in this dream. A chilly breeze slicing through the dark night. As Rila passed a single illuminated streetlight, she felt the urge to stop. Her sickly green eyes scanned the light. Suddenly, she heard tiny claws scramble up the post, and a gray-brown mouse appeared on the pole right even with her eyes. Rila took a step back and fell into a small panic, not remembering this was a dream. /Rodents carry diseases!/ she thought. Just then, the tiny animal twitched its whiskers and squeaked before speaking. "Aurila, you are a Shifter. You must flee from home, for your kind are hunted by heartless fools. You must find the other Shifters and survive," the fieldmouse spoke in a surprisingly human voice. After the word "survive" Aurila awoke with a start. Quickly, she lept out of bed and looked around. A mouse. A /mouse/ had spoken to her within a dream. As she glanced around in fright, her eyes fell upon her shadow. It wasn't as tall as it should've been. In fact, it was a mere fraction of her height! And even more chillingly, it seemed like it was in the shape of the mouse she encountered within her dream. "I...I have to go", Aurila decided.
(Fast forward some time)
Aurila had run far from home. It was odd no one had found her yet, but she did have quite the stealth when it came to staying hidden. Maybe that should've been an indication she was different from the time she was quite little. Her hometown had been a small one in New York, but at this point she had completely abandoned it. She barely kept track of where she stayed at that point. She had found none of the other "Shifters" that mouse-thing was talking about, though it's voice echoed in her head whenever she needed to find food or water. "Nobody's looking over that popcorn stand. Now's your chance!" It would say. She continued to run. It seemed about 6 AM-ish. She had just run by a "Holiday Inn" paying no mind to it as she seemed to live on the streets just fine. A dark, quiet ally was near by, and she crept over there. Looking around, Aurila camped out beside a dumpster, making certain she was concealed. A rat skittered over and eyed her oddly. Aurila didn't mind. She had become used to the dirty critters at this point. The rodent's eyes lot up, and it's nose turned in the direction of the inn, and it took off that way. "Huh, maybe it's found food..." Aurila pondered, curling up, and closing her eyes to try and get some rest.

"Ali!" said Lince with a big grim glued to his face. He frowned then asked "Are you okay? You look pale, and wait are these posinoise!?! " Lince took his cloth belt and rapped it around his hands. He was about to grab the snake, but Ali put a hand on his shoulder and he relaxed. He turned to face her again, she was just as beautiful as when he first met her. Fool beauty is a mask that hides the trape underneath. No she's different. They're all the same. No, not her. Lince stood up holding out a hand for Ali. He asked "So your not made at me for being a shifter, are you? "

Autumn felt this nagging feeling as she walked...like there was something important nearby... "A shifter is nearby..." The voice echoed in her head. Autumn began to feel excited...another shifter? Finally! Maybe she could get some real answers! She closed her eyes...trying to perhaps sense the shifter. Then suddenly a strong aura pushed through. Autumn opened her eyes and ran towards the source. Then as she pulled to a stop she saw....a dumpster? What? Anger passed through Autumn, until she heard a rustling. Upon closer inspection she saw a girl, curled up on the opposite side. She couldn't see e girls shadow due to the dark alley way. Rummaging through her backpack she found a flashlight and shined it on the girl. The shadow appeared, it was a mouse. The girl began to wake up just at that moment, the two shifters eyes met. "Don't worry....we have something in common...." Autumn said. She felt awkward, what was she supposed to say? Then she shines the flashlight on herself revealing the shadow of a cat.

Aurila's eyes lit up as they met with the new girl's. She hasn't spoken with another person in ages. Heck, nobody was suppose to know she was here! The brunette girl spoke very gently with an almost welcoming voice that soothed Aurila. She watched as the flashlight's light went to her own shadow, then the weilder's. Upon seeing the shadow that belonged to the girl was a cat's, a smile almost crept across her face, until something hissed in the back of her mind. /Cats eat mice.../ something told her, and without another thought, Rila shrunk down in her filthy corner a bit more. Though the person seemed very kind and friendly, she couldn't help that feeling of impending dread. Heck, the cat-Shifter may not have anything bad planned for Aurila at all! It all came from instinct, or at least, what little instinct she possessed from being half mouse or something. Aurila tried to get her herself, and managed to almost literally "squeak" out, "Wh...What may b-be...y-your...name...?" She tried to relax her body. She didnt want this girl to know she was terrified in the back of her mind, even though it was more than likely painfully obvious.

"Ali!" Lince shouted when she stumbled forward again. He caute her and noticed the trank putruding from her shoulder. He yanked it out and picked Ali up. He cradled her as he ran trying to get away from the cops. Drop her she's slowing you down! No! Fool I told you- No! Lince made a bird screatching sound and pigens, crows, and some esotic birds of the zoo flew and attacked the cops. They swatted and kicked at them but had no effect at getting them off. The birds gave Lince enought time to make good distance bettwen them. He came to the street were many screamed pointing fingers at him. One tried to take Ali away from him but he kicked the man square in the face. They think I'm a kidnapper? All the more reason to drop her. No! Lince ran threw the busy road, cars hon.ked and blur.tted as they screat.ched to a ha.ult. Lince made it into a allie way were he hide behind a dumbster. He sat down wereally still cradleing Ali. Fool what do you see in her she's not even that pretty. Shut-up! Lince wished the dark voice would leave him alone, he he cared for the girl... She helped him... Cause she owed you! Shut-up! Lince looked down at Ali and brushed the hair out of her face. He took his cloth belt and made a pillow. He got up to go check what was going on. Fool your shirtless and you have face paint on they'll spot you out. Lince took the advise and retreated back to Ali. He cradled her asking softly "Wake up, wake up Ali."

Autumn immediately saw the girl shrink back. Had she done something wrong? Then she remembered the classic mouse vs cat relationship. She pictured the spirit licking it's lips and almost laughed, but held back. "My name is Autumn...don't worry I don't really have a taste for mice." She said with a slight smile. She then offered her hand. "Now Come on, I want you to meet somebody." (God I am sorry my rp responses are so crappy)

Suddenly a vision flashed through Autumn's mind....A boy with red face paint, cradling a girl with beautiful blond hair. Fear passed through her as she saw the pursuers...men in black formal suits, black sun glasses, earpieces, and assorted weapons. Her vision ended abruptly, leaving Autumn's heart racing..."We need to hurry."

Aurila calmed herself, seeing as "Autumn" had no intention to hurt her. "Autumn"...what a pretty name...She only had a few moments to think it over before her thoughts were cut short with a sharp "We need to hurry" from the brunette. Aurila quickly stood up and took the opportunity to introduce herself. "I-Im...Im Aurila. Or just Rila for short, if you prefer," she said calmly. She knew very well that even though cats and nice may not seem like likely friends...that any animal could get along with a proper exposure to eachother. "Where exactly do we need to head off to...? I trust you, Autumn...I believe you're right...we do have something in common and because of that, must stay together..." Rila have Autumn a determined nod, indicating she was ready to take on whatever may lay ahead. Surely there were more Shifters than Autumn and herself. Maybe her new friend knew something about them.

Rose paused before they reached the entrance. She grabbed San's arm and led her behind a bush. She looked at the nearby trees and the grass. They told her a little more. "The foliage... It says something is indeed coming, two forces to be precise. More of, well, us, and agents. We should stay, but only until the others find us, I sense they are closer than we might think." She was suddenly hit with a vision. Two more shifters, she couldn't see them, but their shadows. A cat and a mouse were coming. She was suddenly warped to another scene, Another two shifters. One was a bird and the other... a dragon? She shrugged it off when she saw her fall and not get up. She snapped out of the vision and looked back up at San "They are four, they almost here... at least two of them. The other two are close to being caught!" She thought of her spirit animal. Could she turn into it? She saw the bird boy in his form before changing.

"Ali?" Cried out Lince when she jumped up. She looked at her shadow, it was ginormus then she started say repetivly saying no no no. She started turning into something, some kind of reptile. "Don't look at me." she said Lince looked away then she said "I'm a monster." Lince looked back at her getting up "Your not a monster Ali your a shifter too." She started turn back into a human then back to a dragon. "Ali." He said sothingly in a sing song voice much like a bird would "Ali, consentrate see the form you want to be." She started turning human again. She started to fall again and he caute her. "Ali, we need to get outta here. Can you walk?" She nodded weakly. Leave her she'll slow you down! No! Listen to me- No! Lince held her close and started helping her along. They walked to the edge of the allie way. Lince peeked out looking both ways. Wow no traffic no... wait... no traffic no ppl! Lince lifted Ali off her feet and ran too the dumbster. He jumped up and in, then setting the surprised Ali in he whispered "Stay here..." He jumped out and slowly closed the lid "Good bye..." he muttered He turned and ran towards the bright emty street. Fool should've used her as bate not yourself! What are you doing? Idiot!!! Shut-up! Lince jumped out into the street, then began zigg zagging. He could hear gun fire. Was it bullets or darts he woundered. Why don't don't you stop and find out! Idiot you dead! All for what some silly girl? Yes... Really well isn't that romantic- shut-up! Make me! I hate you! You do realize I'm you? Lince rolled his eyes he muttered "I still hate you." aloud as he dogded a swat solider. Well that's heathly. Shut- Lince gasped as one of the swats landed a blow to his stomach. Shuting up now... Oh now you shut-up? Pay attention! Another blow this time to the back. Lince crashed to the ground. He looked back at the allie way. Is she worth it? Yes... Is she now, we'll see. Darkness

Autumn carefully guided Aurila down the busy streets, making sure to stay concealed in the shadows. Instincts guided Autumn in a way then never had before, much better then a silly map. She slipped down the streets as if she lived I. New York, but infact she had only been here a few times to go out for dinner. "I am sorry for being so abrupt in all of this...but we don't have much time." Autumn said quickly to Rila. The silence had been uncomfortable for her. Then, she saw it...Central Park. Trees towered over them, paths led through the beautiful woods, and a few people were taking a stroll. Autumn took a deep breath of the fresh air. It was wonderful compared to the car fumes of the streets. "Find them" the spirit said. Autumn focused back on the task at hand, finding the other shifters. A split second vision hit her, a pond with water lilies. She could sense the water mass near by and excitedly hurried her pace. Emerging from the woods she saw them...the two shifters, well the pink hair made it pretty obvious. "There they are Aurila! Well...at least some of them" She said happily. Both girls nodded to each other and began to approach the two other shifters, The first thing Autumn noticed was their shadows, one appeared to be a lynx...and the other...a dragon? Was that even possible? "Excuse me..." Autumn began but flinched as the two girls whipped around, wide eyed and spooked.

Lince felt a sting of pain in his shoulder then his cheek. Then another slap of pain to his cheek. He stured and opened his eyes a crack just in time to see Ali swinging her hand to slap him again. His head was slaped to the side his cheek burned and Ali yelled "Idiot!" Lince turned to face Ali cofusingly. No they caute her too. No wait they were in thee open. "Ali? " Lince stared up at her. "How?... Ali you... you were safe... and they... how? "

"Hello, um, you..." Sanura said. "I'm Sanura--please call me San--and..." the lynx-shifter flinched as she felt some sort of slap inside her head. The voice started speaking again. "San, these are no strangers. They are shifters just like you. There is a cat--the brunette who's a little older than you--and a mouse--the girl with the black hair. Now if you don't hurry, you will get k.illed. There are agents nearby. They have guns. Now run!" San snapped out. "Okay, I think we're in danger, girls. You two are shifters too, right?" Sanura said, pointing to the new arrivals' shadows. "Well... Rose and I are also. And this voice inside me just told me we need to run. Did you guys get a dream too? Can you shift already?" San questioned the two new shifters without even asking for their names. Then the lynx-shifter's senses acted up. She sensed two government agents coming. "Girls... we need to leave this place and find the two remaining shifters. NOW." Just as she started running in lead, hoping the three others followed, she saw a girl and a boy in the middle of the road, about San's age. Something had happened in the streets, for--it seemed--that many agents were "dead" on the road. The two teenagers had strange shadows, too. "The last shifters!" San exclaimed as a wave of hope filled her. "There they are!" But it was too early to rejoice. Sanura felt a tranquilizer dart fly right over her shoulder, past her. "Yikes!" she cried out. San looked behind her. The cat-shifter was running just behind San, followed by Rose. The mouse-shifter was a little behind, but with her stealth, she managed to dodge all the dart the two agents were shooting primarly at her. "RUN!" was the only word San managed to cry out, as more tranquilizer darts flew by her. Somehow, there was no traffic, barely a single person on the road. "How unusual..." thought Sanura as she kept running in the two teenagers' direction.

Autumn paused "shift?" The thought had never accrued to her, how was she supposed to shift though? The spirit was once again silent, leaving autumn confused. Then a tranquilizer dart flew past her. "Run!" The Lynx girl shouted. Autumn quickly began to dash after the two other shifters and Rila was directly behind her, dodging the the darts. "Umm...I know is a bad time but...how does one shift?" She tried to ask Sanura. Sanura probably hadn't heard. Autumn could see other shifters, from the looks of it a dragon and a bird shifter. The bird shifter was odd, a guy wearing face paint and he was shirtless, the dragon shifter was a blond wearing an orange zoo shirt. Obviously the bird shifter was hurt...and the dragon shifter was attempting to get him up. Autumn tried to run forward more quickly...but then panicked as she saw even more officers running from the other direction towards the blond and the odd tribal boy. The shifters would be surrounded..."We're screwed...." She muttered under her breath.

Sanura, too, saw the other officers circle the last two shifters. "Gotta think fast. Think, San!" she told herself, now halting for she had reached the intersection. "Everyone! Grab a tranquilizer gun from the sleeping agents!" the lynx-shifter cried out with all her remaining breath. She snatched one of the guns on the floor and handed one of them to the cat-shifter. "Bad moment, but what exactly is your name?" she asked, then whipped around to see the officers step in closer. The shifters were surrounded. "Screw this. We don't have much time before they start shooting..." San muttered. "Okay. Um... what to do..." the young teenager thought out loud. One of the officers was already aiming at San. "Wait!" the lynx-girl yelled. "Why don't we clear things up a bit?" she asked, out of breath and overwhelmingly stressed. "Why exactly do you want to... well... do something to us?"

"Fire at will!" Sanura tried to call out, but she had lost her voice. Apparently, the other shifters understood what she had wanted to say, for they all started shooting. One by one, the officers collapsed on the ground. By very bad luck, as one of the officers fell down, the trigger hit a rock, firing a tranquilizer dart... straight to Sanura's shoulder. She tried to dodge, but she was frozen in place. The dart hit her right in the muscle, and all of a sudden everything seemed blurry. She fell on the ground, unconscious. The voice in her head buzzed. "Idiot! What were you doing there, standing as a human would do? Do you not know how to shift? It's super simple: just think really hard about your spirit animal. If you hold that claw pendant in your hand, you will shift faster." A few seconds later, all was black.

Lince stumbled along his legs had fallen asleep and he couldn't feel if he was touching the ground or not. It made it difficult to keep his balance, and his attention was absoebed to the ground. He didn't realize there were four others untill Ali fired another shot. He looked up to see four others shoting at swat soliders much like the ones that attacked Ali and him. His legs triped over each other and he buckled. Idiot can't you walk? No? Uh... Shut-up you try doing it! I'm you remember so tenically I am doing it! Well your not doing it very well! No no your not. Shut-up! Ali helped him back up and Lince regained his balance. He looked at the three... wait weren't there four? Lince looked around and noticed one was shot with a trank. One of the new comers walked over and pulled the dart out say Sunra was it? "Sunra wake up!" Lince leaned side ways and asked Ali "Do you know this people?" Ali shook her head and Lince frowned. Don't trust them their trouble! You think everyone's trouble. ...so ... can't be to cautous... Shut-up! Lince looked at the others then noticed their shadows. "Their shifters too!" he said surprisingly Lince paused and frowned. You did not just say that out aloud? Shut-up! You shut-up your the one that blurted hey their shifters too! Well what would you have done? I wouldn't have gotten involved with any of them! One girl is trouble but... (Am I the only guy!?!) five is disaster! Alis' not trouble. Sure keeping telling yourself that. I am! Your the one that keeps- I'm you remeber! Oh that's right... Pay attention they're coming closer! Lince came back to reality shaking his head a bit. Cat, mouse, another cat... just a bit bigger, and another lizerd thing. Lince looked down at Alis shadow. Yup pretty much the same. Lince looked back up at the new comers. His legs finally awake and ready to get Ali and him away if nesasary.

When a dart flew over San's head(who was still laying down), the girl woke up right away, startled. She saw reinforcements coming in. "Aw, great." San mumbled under her breath. "Just woke up and I'm gonna fall asleep again." The lynx-girl got up, still tembling from the shock. "Never have I ever felt so tired", she thought. Then she remembered. "Just think really hard about your spirit animal. If you hold that claw pendant in your hand, you will shift faster." San looked at her neck. The claw was there, but it was scratched. "Well! Let's see if this does it!" Sanura said. She shut her eyes, thinking only of the lynx she had seen in her dream. She was so focused on the feline in her mind, that everything seem to tune down around her. She could barely hear the firing anymore. She grabbed the pendant and squeezed. She started feeling something strange, like she was morphing in a different shape. Her nails became strong claws, her teeth sharpened to fangs. Her ears differed. They heard much more clearly, but yet it wasn't so much of a difference to San, who was born with sensitive senses. Two black tufts of fur grew out. For a few seconds, she could've been mistaken for a cat-girl, straight from an anime series. But no--after a little while, San was fully transformed, and her strong paws craved to strike. The lynx clawed at one of the officers, terrified. "You should've have repented while you had the chance!" San hissed. She pounced on the officer, biting and clawing at him. Sanura was aware of everything around her. She could feel Autumn shooting. She knew that Lince was now up and about. The lynx roared. She was unleashing her rage at the agents, making them sc.ream. "Shifters unite!" the feline shrieked.

Rose instantly dropped her tranquilizer. She watched San transform, she was impressed. 'So all you have to do is focus?' She thought intensely about her spirit animal... its intense blue eyes and midnight black fur, the pink horns glittering. She screamed as pain shot through her veins, it quickly turned into an earsplitting roar. Horns sprouted from her head and the ground was farther away. Her wings were heavy and her muscles were rippling with power. She roared again and swung her tail through the air, swatting several agents into a nearby wall. She turned when she felt tranquilizers hitting her side. Turning, she swept up the air with her feathery wings. Many of the agents couldn't keep a grip in the high speed 'wind' and flew high into the air. She felt a stabbing pain in her heart and her veins felt filled with razors, yet nothing stabbed her. She faltered and nearly crumpled to the ground, it felt like poison. She spoke to the other shifters, 'We need to leave the city!' She lifted her wings and looked at the other dragon. She could help her to carry the others, that could not fly.

Sorry I'm late... went to the er at 11 yesterday and came back at 4 in the morning... I might be having mini seizures... I have a super bad migraine right now, had it for 3 days, I feel like cr*p.

The lynx turned to face the... dragon. "Right. Heh, that's cool! You shifted!" San whisked around to whip a helpless agent. "Rose, can you give us a lift?" The lynx said, half-paying attention to the other officer she was scratching. An agent tried to pin San down, but she rolled over just in time. Right after, she jumped to bite the officer's shoulder. Sanura was surprised at how high she could jump. She almost let out a scream, because she wasn't used to jumping so high. The agents were starting to retreat, whimpering as they saw their wounds. One even said "You'll see us again, shifters! We will do anything to take you away from the world!" but he was soon dragged away by one of his comrades, who was muttering something like "Listen, we need to get to the hospital." San decided it would be better to change forms again. "Now how do I do that?" she wondered. "It's weird to think of myself super-hard..." The voice started up again inside San. "Weird or not, that's how you do it." And so Sanura started thinking of her human form, and as atrocious pain streamed in her veins, San soon took the shape of a human once more. "Where do we go now?" she asked the others.

(Strange, DreamKitten. I have a migrane too... I'm pretty sick at the moment.)

(Oh, forgot to add that San picks up one of the tranquilizer guns, it can always be useful later on.)

"Autumn" she said before firing at the guards, some fell instantly while others kept firing until their strength faltered. Adrenaline pumped through Autumn as she fought for her and the other shifters lives. If she were to fall, no she couldn't think of it, she just keep dodging, firing, dodging, firing, until she saw a shadow covering her... She looked behind her to see a dragon, black with blue eyes and pink markings, it must have been Rose. Quickly Autumn clambered onto Rose's back, smirking as she heard the agents running. Then her face fell as she rested on Roses back, why wasn't her spirit animal talking to her? Why won't you help me? But again there was silence...she could tell by the others faces their spirit animals were speaking to them...she felt defeated, was she not good enough? What was wrong with her?!

Sanura climbed on Rose's back, right behind Autumn. "Autumn... nice name!" The lynx girl said. Then she saw Autumn's defeated look. "Are you okay...?" San asked, puzzled. The other shifter certainly didn't seem wounded, nor was she falling asleep by a tranquilizer dart. "What's wrong?" the lynx girl asked again, for Autumn didn't answer.

Lince watched as a battle unfolded. Lince ran over to a sleeping swat solider, snatching his see threw sheild, and his dart gun he jeted back to Ali. Handed her the sheild he said "You block I shoot." He figited with the gun trying to get it to work for him, but Ali took the gun and shoved the sheild into his hands saying "No you block I shoot." She emedetly lifted the gun up and started flying rounds. Lince stood there dumb founded for a moment then, clearing his head he grabed a swats club and ran to her side. When a swat got to close to them he'd shove the sheild into him and swirl the club. Ali took care of them from a distance. Lince noticed that two of the others had shifted forms. You could just shift forms and fly away. No Ali, I'd be leaveing Ali behind! Forget about the girl! Never! Lince smack a swat across the face sending him to the ground. He turned his head to Ali she was focaused on the soliders behind them. One got to close and Lince swung round. "Ali, try shifting!" Lince asked

Autumn had barely even heard Sanura at first. "Huh? Oh sorry...It's just...I...she...My spirit animal refuses to speak to me! I don't what I am doing wrong! Her image...it's fading...as if she's leaving me..."

Lince stared in shock at the gun barrel pointed at his chest. But what surprised him most was who was holding the gun. "Al-Ali? Whu- why?" Lince begain to tremble. I told you she'd betray you. Shut-up! Look at her she's going to shoot you. No... no she wouldn't. She would. Look at her she's going to use you as a distraction. No she wouldn't do that to me. Idiot! She never cared about you! She only wants to use you! Shut-up. I warned you. Shut-up! Ali turned her eyes on something else, and Linces' head said Now fly while she's not looking! But- Now idiot! She doesn't care about you! Lince shifted and flapped away. Tears stung his eyes as the wind blew into them. I told you she'd betray you. But why?... Cause they would've grabed you not her. But- she, she was different. They're all the same, everyone will betray you. Some just take longer, they wait for the right moment to strike! Lince screatched in anger as he flew threw the sky! Lets go home were your real friends live. The birds will never betray you. Unlike humans!

(Sorry guys, I won't be replying until tommorow at least. I have to go to bed :P)

Sanura looked at her friend. "I'm sure she isn't leaving you. But you may be needing more time, that's all." San looked down at the tranquilizer gun. It was a 179B CO2 pistol(Had to find a random Google Image for that. I have no idea how a 179B CO2 pistol works.) and it still had ammunition. Then a thought came to San's mind. "What if Autumn wasn't a shifter? What if her shadow had just been altered by the trees' shadows?" but the lynx-shifter tried to push away the thought. "Why don't you try shifting like how we do it?" Sanura suggested. "Just think really hard about your spirit animal, and after a while you'll be so focused, things around you will tune down. Then the transformation will begin. It's easy!"

San scooted in as Ali climbed atop of the Rose-mount, right behind her. The lynx-girl watched as Lince transformed. A moment later he was flying... away. "Hey! Lince! What are you doing?" Sanura shouted. "Where are you going like that!?" But the other dragon didn't hear. He was seemingly leaving. "Okay then... looks like he doesn't want to stay with us..." she whispered to herself. She looked around her. Rose was serving as a mount, ready for takeoff. Ali and Autumn were next to San, mounted on Rose's back. Lince, well... he had left. More agents were closing in, but this time, they had no tranquilizer guns. Instead, they had real pistols. "Uh oh... Rose? We need to leave this place... NOW." (How is Night going to come in once she rps? Maybe we could just say she got on Rose's back.)

Rose watched the bird, Lince fly away as the other dragon shifter climbed on her back. She snorted when Ali climbed on, she could transform easily and help her carry her many passengers. She spoke before taking off, 'Could any of you shift, please? It would defenitly help with weight.' She asked politely as she could muster with guns readily pointed at her wings and head. She lifted her wings before anyone could move and took to the air, flying swiftly as she possibly could. Her spirit animal then spoke to her. 'You must find the nearest forest, there, the trees will keep you safe.' She was filled with determination to reach safety when gun fire filled the air. She flapped ever higher, hoping at her height, the bullets would fall back down and strike the ones who fired them. She felt the stabbing pain once more, but ignored it until the dragon spoke again. 'That would be your poison... it will make you hurt until you use it or get sick and die. You can't be a dragon forever.' She was instantly dreadful and began to fly faster, she needed to land and transform back!

(WHOOPS! My bad!! For a sec I thought Lince was the dragon xD I meant "the bird didn't hear".)

San noticed Rose was speeding up drastically. "Rose, are you okay?" she asked, worried. "Is something wrong?" Just as she had said 'wrong', a bullet shot right by the girl's face, startling her. "Holy--!" Sanura yelled out as the round object passed right in front of her nose. "We need to fly higher! Ali, can you shift? It will make less weight for Rose and you can still fly." San looked down. Some of the agents were retreating, giving up the fight. Who would've guessed they had to fight two dragons, a bird, a mouse, a cat, a wolf and a lynx? It sure wasn't an easy task to take down such powerful animals, especially since they weren't normal. But that would never stop the government--they had to harness such power. Sanura watched as the officers slowly abandoned the battle site. "We're good for now." she said, satisfied. But Rose was still in trouble...

"Ok...I'll try." Autumn said then she shut her eyes imagining her spirit animal, the cat appeared to be walking towards her. "Why didn't you help me? Why?" Autumn questioned the spirit. The cat looked her straight in the eyes, "You had no need for my power," "I could have been killed!" "You were fine Autumn, you are an intelligent girl. You must learn you can't depend on us for your very need."
I haven't even shifted yet! You never showed me how!"
The cat glared for a moment then sighed, "Fine I'll show you. Just imagine me, as much as you can...imagine me becoming a part of you...and then becoming one." Autumn then was back in the real world, focusing on the spirit within....become one with it....slowly she began to feel herself changing, skin gradually growing fur, eyes becoming more sensitive, sharp claws replacing nails, paws replacing hand, her ears became longer and were place more on the top of her head while her face morphed into more of a muzzle shape, and her teeth became longer and sharper, at the base of her spine a tail grew long and bushy, she felt herself shift into a quadrapedial position, and then growing smaller,

Soon the transformation was complete, and Autumn collapsed into the soft dragons fur.

Lince flapped threw the city with rage! He was so consumed with rage that a flag whiped him when a gust of wind blew threw the street. Lince was nocked to the ground hiting a pudestrian on the way. The surprised man jumped back. Lince started to get up when the mans' surprise turned to anger and he was kicked to the side. Linces' world spun as he roled into the road. Lince squacked in pain his wing was bent funny. Lince hubbled back up to his feet to see a taxi comeing at him! Lince shifted into human form, startleing the driver. The cab streatched to a hault just inches from Lince. The cab driver hunked and gave him the finger. Lince walked to the side walk holding his arm. It was definetly brocken, it had a bone sticking out. A few of the padestrains looked at him funny as he speed walked down the cement. He docked into a ally way and hide behind a dumbster. He plopped down wincing. Untieing his cloth belt which he made a sling for. He sat there breathing for a moment woundering what to do next. Your going to die next that's what! They're going to catch you and then torture you! You should've never come to see that silly girl! Shut-up! No listen for once! If you just listen to yourself for once then you wouldn't be in these situations! Okay, fine... I'll listen... You'll obey me, not listen to me, obey!

"Yes! That's it!" Sanura exclaimed as Autumn slowly transformed. "You got it! Now I should change forms too." San shifted and sighed. All the running-from-agents made her tired. It wasn't so much of a surprise anyway, since it was getting dark. "Guys", San meowed. "I think we should go rest somewhere. We all need some sleep." the lynx looked up at the stars. Leo seemed to shine bright that night. "It's my spirit..." San thought. "It's guiding me. I know it." The lynx sank her paws in the dragon's fur. It was soft and warm and reminded her of her bed's covers she would use as a human. A long trip lay ahead of the shifters, and getting there would not be easy.

Autumn had fallen asleep, exhausted from shifting, she was aching all over...but soon she was in the dream world...A vision hit her, it was the bird boy! He had crashed, and broken his arm...now he was behind a garbage can cringing in pain." Autumn's eyes shot open, "Lince!" She gasped. "Lince is in trouble!"

San too was half-asleep when her friend yelled out. The lynx girl snapped open her eyes. "What? What?" she gasped. "Lince is in trouble? What's going on? What's going on?" She tightened her grip of Rose's fur as she realized she was sliding off. All her nerves were wide awake now. A fall from such height would simply k.ill, and that would certainly not be much fun.

"Ali!" Autumn cried out as the shifter leaped. but all she could do was hope Ali could shift in time...She looked at Sanura helplessly, and then curled back up covering her face with her paws. "They'll be back." Autumn's spirit whispered. Autumn had to hope so...had to believe.

Lince had almost fallen asleep when someone yelled "There he is! " Lince jumped awake and started running, his broken arm swung Losley in the sling,causing him to grimace. He almost made it out of the ally way when a swat gaurding the other side jumped in and swung his club into Linces' gut! Lince gasbed as the air was taken from him and fell to his knees. The Sawyer then gravedigger his broken arm and pulled him up! Lince screamed in agony but was silenced with a quick nickname to the head! The swat swung Lince onto his back and made his way to a black van.

(Sorry for being so late! DX I am busy...with life... I'll try to stay more on top of this from now on!)
Night curled her hair around her finger and released it, letting it fall over her eye. "Well, what am I going to do now?" She wondered. Almost as an answer, her necklace vibrated and glowed. But then something new happened: it FLOATED. It started tugging on Night's neck, but softly, not in a hard choking way. "Follow me." Night heard a voice say that she recognized as the wolf's.
So, Night followed the flying necklace, and on her way grabbed a few things: clothes, food, and other basic necessities, for who knew how long or far this necklace would take her! She was led outside and into the woods behind her house. The crisp morning air was awakening her senses and Night smelled the forest stronger than ever, and even in the dim light she could see clearly. After walking a while in the woods, familiar with her surroundings she clutched the necklace and closed her eyes, letting the whisper of the wind carry her.
However, when she opened her eyes, instead of feet walking, there were paws! Dark paws, just lie the ones of the dark wolf in her dream... "Let your instinct guide you." The same wolf's voice hummed on the wind.
Night continued faster and faster until she was bolting through the forest full-speed.
After running for a good 3 hours, without exhaustion surprisingly, she collided with a lake. Night knelt down to lap some water and afterwards looked up. It was morning now and the sun had risen gracing the sky with magnificent colors.
"You're here." The wolf whispered. And Night felt it in the shivers of her body...

(XD That's how I'll catch up with everyone. Again, I'm sorry for being so late!)

"Autumn... I'm scared for Ali and Lince. They're still out there in New York, and there are plenty of agents in every little corner of the city. Are you sure they're going to be okay?" San said, looking back at the city. The tall buildings were now almost out of sight. San could hear the waves far under her whisper something. "Believe in yourself. Your friends who have now left you will not be ok. You have to go help them!" San opened wide her eyes. She was still having a hard time believing nature could talk to her. "Autumn, Rose! Ali and Lince are in trouble, we need to turn back and help them. The waves just told me they need us." Giggles popped in Sanura's mind at that last statement. It sounded ridiculous. How could waves speak? It made no sense... but nevertheless it was true.

The same guy that had kicked Lince was talking to a couple of friends right next to Ali. "So the bird turned into a teenager?" one of the friends asked The guy replied "Ya I kicked him into the road when he was a bird, then next thing I know the bird turns into a boy!" "What you do next?" asked an egure friend "I called the cops!" "Did they get him?" "Ya with my help! I followed the freak to an ally way were he hide behind a dumbster." "So did they catch the freak?" "I think so I left before they went in." "So were was he?" "Over there." The man pointed to aa ally way across the street. "So close." "Ya crazy how nasty the world is geting." "I know."

Autumn looked up at Sanura and nodded. "I agree, we should go find them, we have to. Rose, take us back to New York " she said urgently.

Lince was thrown into the suv with a thumb! He was barrley able to stay consous with all the pain roaring threw him... Wait, roaring? There it was again! Next thing Lince knew the suv was being riped apart by a dragon. It reached down and grabed him. Lince screamed! It was squeezing his brocken arm against him! The dragon lossened it's grip and said "Your okay." in Alis' voice... wait "Ali?" Lince asked looking up at the massive lizard. Ali looked down at him just as Lince went limp. He had blacked out from the pain and confusion.

Night closed her eyes and listened to the soft waves and ripples of the lake. When she opened them, the wolf was there.
"So..." Night started, now familiar with this wolf. "You say I'm here, but WHY?"
"Hush, you'll be fine." The wolf soothed. Night scrunched together her eyebrows and looked crossly at the wolf.
"I'm not worried," Night crossed her arns, "just curious.
"You are going to find others like you."
"You mean with powers to...shift?"
"Yes." The wolf answered. "Although some got tangled along their way here. You should help them get untangled."
"Do you know where they are? Can you tell me?" Night questioned.
"They are mingled and seperated; scattered and together." Night raised an eyebrow. The wolf gave a more simple answer. "They are in a great city."
Night opened her eyes. It was a vision. She sighed and fiddled with her necklace. She held it in her hand and tossed it back and forth. Then Night noticed something. One of the corners of the cross was glowing. She turned the opposite way and the opposite side glowed. It was pointing the way...

Night followed the necklace--again--and used it as a compass. After traveling a while, not too long actually, she hit cement.
Night looked up and noticed huge buildings towering above her. She saw busy streets and crowded stores. Businessmen and musicians playing for tips. Then she noticed one building. The Empire State Building. "I'm in New York." She silently whispered to herself.
Night took a deep breath in. She smelled gas, popcorn, people and pigeons. But some sharp scents stuck out to her. Bird. Cat. Wait, was that DRAGON!? How she knew it was dragon, she didn't know, she was just positive it was.
She realized something: these must be the other "shifters". Night bolted across the sidewalk and onto her journey to find the others...

(I'll be writing every night or so, because that's when I'm on my DS and not as busy. Sorry if I miss out on some things, are behind, or something like that. I just wish I knew when people sent their comment and I had the time to read it and reply. :P Oh well)

Sorry guys... still in the hospital....

Rose flew until she alighted on the ceiliing of a rather large building. She waited for everyone to clamber off her back before shifting back, with a gasp. Her breathing was shallow and quick, steadily becoming normal as the toxins and flame running through her veins faded. 'You've done well for your first shift and flight.' Her spirit spoke with a tiny hint of pride. A cold wind blew and a single leaf passed her ear. 'He has been found with injury, and there is... another.' She nodded to herself with understanding and turned to the other shifters. She stared at them for a moment before speaking. 'The leaf has told me Lince has been found, yet he is severly injured, and there is another shifter we have yet to meet.' She transformed again, this time with much less pain, and flew from the building, she could sense the other was near. She glanced down and saw a jet black wolf, the same color as herself. She landed ahead of the canine and spoke. 'Are you perhaps a shifter? Wolves don't live in this city.' She spoke quickly, no one but they could hear.

I finally am back... I'm having seizures and I have an intense migraine, had it since saturday... It is horrible! I've been in the hospital since Wendsday... :(

(OMG! I am so sorry dream! I really hope you' ll be alright. Why were you having them? )
"Hmm a wolf, interesting..." Autumn said to herself as she leaped from the building with ease. Normally that leap would have shattered her legs, but it was second nature in this form. She sat down grooming herself with a wet paw beside the wolf. "She is defiantly a shifter." The spirit said. Autumn smiled and paused for a moment. "Good another shifter!" She said to the pitch black wolf. "May I ask your name?" (Shifters on animal form can speak telepathically, so a conversation between two shifters could remain completely undetected.)

(Oh I'm so sorry DreamKitten! I hope you get better soon!)

Night was traveling as a wolf, sticking to the shadows hoping her dark fur would camouflage her. She had made it to where the two other shifters were and answered their question.
"I'm Night." She replied through their minds while perking her ears up. "So I suppose you're some of the other 'shifters' I was supposed to meet. What are your names? Also, have you met others like us?" Night questioned.

"Your in luck...." Rose stated as Ali landed with Lince. "I can help Lince." She stood over him, studying his wounds. They were severe, any normal bird would be dead. She listened to the plants nearby, none of them seemed to be even close to herbal, it was the city. "I guess I'll do something a little... unconventional. We have to find a hospital. I'll fly until I find one and get the supplies..." She flew up swiftly and watched for the red cross, her 'selective eyesight' that came along with being a dragon allowed her to find one quickly. She alighted by one of the windows on the ground floor, and ran down the side of the building checking each one until she found a supply closet. She smashed the window, which triggered an alarm. She snatched up gauze, and everything she could carry and jumped out the window right as a nurse ran into the room. Rose streaked down the road until she was completely transformed then took to the sky. The night easily camouflaged her, and the staff gave up searching relatively quickly. She landed farther down the alley from the group and began to run to where they were, right as agents came from the shadows. She almost ran into them but used her white hot toxic flames to easily destroy their threat. She layed the supplies down next to Lince. "We really need to hurry! They found us again!"

(Where is San in there? Sorry I'm so late, was unable to reach my comp for a while. I think Autumn, Night and... Ali are in a street, Rose is... somewhere...)

(Last thing I know, San was on top of a building because that's where Rose dropped her off. But how did Autumn and the others get down? What happened? Where is everybody? I'm so lost, sorry... -_-' )

Autumn jumped off the roof, You can say San did the same holding Rila if you want, Night was on the ground, 'wandering' Ali found Lince and brought him back, Rose went to the hospital to get supplies to fix Lince up because he is badly injured. She came back and now some agents have found us, and we are about to make a break for it.

So we're all kind of stuck in a blob of agents? Okay.

Not quite... there are some running from around a corner, they haven't surrounded us yet, so we will hopefully escape. :3

San ran. (Tee-hee. Had to do that.) The shifters--San, Rila, Rose, Autumn, Lince(who was having a lot of trouble running), Night and Ali--were escaping from the officers. They hastened around the New York streets, out of breath. All of the shifters were in their human forms(Right?) so it looked like a bunch of teens being pursued by the police, probably because they did something wrong like shoot a soccer ball at a car driver by accident. The few people who were strolling around just gave some curious looks at San and the others while they passed, then frowned when they saw the officers after them. But it was far from some sort of accident--the seven had some serious issues to fix. As they turned around a corner, they halted, shocked. They had come to a dead end, withthe officers closing in behind them.

San, Rila, Rose, Autumn, Lince--who was now resting on the floor--Ali and Night were now circled by agents. San spoke first. "So, what kind of weapons do you have now?" she challenged the agents, pulling out her own tranquilizer gun. They weren't happy to hear San. "If you are interested, we have rifle pistols. REAL pistols." San's heart skipped a beat. She had always been terrified of real pistols, but she tried not to show it. "Lovely! We have... claws, fangs, one tranquilizer gun and rapid-firing analgesic pills. Be afraid!" she spat. The agents laughed. San looked at her friends by the corner of her eye. "Let's get to this, shifters. Remember to protect Lince. He's their main target." Sanura added. She shifted painfully. An officer lounged for her, but San was quicker. She swapped aside and pounced.

(Sorry got lost in all the coments) Lince woke on the ground were Ali had set him, there was a bundle of hospital supplies next to him, Lince frowned and started to move. He winced in pain, he had forgotten that his arm was broken. He laid back against the wall then it all Camden back to him, his capture, Ali! "Ali?!? Were's Ali? " Lince was getting mixed emotions she had pushed him away, then saved him? Ali came over and sat next to him "Listen Lince we need to go, they're coming and will be here soon. " She put a hand on his shoulder and looked at him "Can you walk? " Lince nodded and got up. His head spun and he almost fell, but luckally Ali was there. They started running till we're were we are now sorry I got lost in the coments and didn't see dragons explaining how they got back

Autumn nodded at San. (She's still in Cat form) then, spitting fury she leaped at an agents face. He let out a scream but the cat keep clawing until. She felt the blood dripping from her claws, she then leapt onto the agent next to him. "AGGGH get this damn cat off of me!" Suddenly a shot was fired and before Autumn know it, pain exploded in her abdomen. She let out a screech and fell to the ground, she was then kicked with such force that her tiny body was flung into the alley wall. She trembled on the ground, slowly shifting back into human form. Tears began to stain her cheeks and she was curled up helplessly on the ground. (When shifters get too weak they lose the ability to stay in their animal form and are forced to shift back to human form. Autumn was shot in the chest and is Fighting to stay conscious.)

Night rushed over to Lince. She may look like a "rocker" on the outside, but on the inside she'd very caring.
"Shh. Lay back down." she hushed while pushing some of her black hair behind her ear. She grabbed some alchohol and wipes from the pile of medical supplies.
"This'll sting." Night warned before she pressed the burning cloth on his wound. Afterwards she wrapped him up in gauze to stop any further bleeding. Lastly she took off her jacked and tied it into a sling around his broken arm.
Standing up, approved of herself, she said with a smile. "I've read books and taken a first aid class."
Lastly, Night shifted into a wolf and paced in front of Lince, guarding him from officers. One officer cocked his rifle and aimed it at her as if he were hunting, but she lunged at him and grabbed it in her jaws. Night crunched it, shook it, threw ot, and spit out a piece of metal that had fallen off.
The officer's eyes widened and he backed away--first slowly, then he ran in fear.

After the officer ran away, Night heard heard a sickening bang. Time seemed to stand still as she watched Autumn's body fall to the ground.
"No!" She howled and growled at the same time. Half forgetting Lince and half hoping he'd be okay, she dashed to Autumn.
On the way, Night knocked officers over and bit them and clawed them to get through. When she saw the officer that had shot Autumn she lunged at him and practically tore him to pieces.
Night left the officer and transformed while running and slid up to Autumn on her knees in human form. She tried not to panic at the sight of blood rushing out of Autumn's chest, but she couldn't keep from letting a tear slip out of her eye.
"I-I thought we couldn't die because of our profound powers and strengths..." Night mumbled.
"What are we going to do!?" She stood up and yelled to the rest of the shifters. "This wound is too big for bandages..."
Although she had hardly met Autumn, she cared about her and felt a strong connection to her as well as the other shifters.
"I don't know what to do..." Night sighed.

(What are you talking about?! I never controled your character. I was catching Van up! I never control others' characters. Never have. Never will. ) Rose saw Autumn get shot, and kicked. She was instantaniously filled with dread and a strong sense of protection. They could be hurt... killed even! She shifted back to being human quickly. Thankfully Night had killed Autumn's attacker and sort-of fixed Lince, their supplies were limited. Rose ran to Autumn and prepared to help her. That's when Ali yelled the people were robots! This was getting so strange, so fast. She lived in an abandoned alley two days ago! She snapped back into reality and put her hand on Autumn's shoulder. 'This will hurt... I'm sorry.' She slowly brought her hand to the wound and stuck her fingers in steadily. Rose gritted her teeth as she pulled out the bullet, Autumn showed obvious signs of pain. She threw the bullet and pushed down, lots of blood was welling from Autumn's wound. She grabbed a disinfectant and rubbed the wound down. It was horrible. Rose flinched several times, she was a little scared. She looked down and saw a single vile of medicine. "Yes!" she yelled, it was a pain killer. She grabbed the vile and stuck it gently into Autumn's arm and pushed the meds in. Autumn was still shaking, and they still needed to dress the wound to prevent infection. Rose ripped a peice off her pink shirt, disinfected it and placed it on the wound. She then grabbed the bandages from Night and wrapped Autumn slowly to avoid causing even more pain. "I'm so sorry... but your not dieing if I'm around." She spoke seriously, she ment every word. Until that moment, she drowned out the gunfire. It roared in her ear and she watched Ali and San take many of them out. She turned to look at Night, Lince, Autumn and Rila. 'They will make it.' she swore to herself. Her spirit then spoke, "You must protect each other..."

Lince was still dazed when they stoped, the run had drained him of what little energy he had left. He colapsed to the ground, and could do nothing but watch. One of the shifters came up to clean and dress his wounds. She told him in a sweet voice to relax... Relax how was he sopposed to relax? Lince winced as she tied a new sling onto his arm. She got up a turned to the fight. Lince wanted to get up, he wanted to help, he wanted to found out why Ali came back for him. One pulled a gun on Ali and Lince paniced. He reached for a rock grabing it he threw it... but it only flew a few inches. Ali then slashed to mans arm... with had wires in it? Then she stabed into the face. Linces' eyes widened as he saw the wires and oil gush out instead of blood. Ali yelled that they were robots and grabed the pistol. The shifters, except Lince continued fighting, one had been shoot and another was helping her wounds. Lince thought for a moment, why send robots who couldn't fight as well as humans unless... Lince caute swat soliders coming in the ally way from the other side, these were definetly human "It's a trap!" he yelled. Lince strained to get up and jumped at one aiming at Ali. He didn't know how he did it but he managed to throw the solider down. Lince looked up from the solider he had just thrown and looked at Ali. A shot rong out and Ali started screaming... but Lince couldn't hear her? He looked at her confusingly as she ran up to him. He started falling? He tried to move, but he couldn't, why couldn't he move? Ali caute him and all a sudden the sound returned in roaring high def! Blood started coming up and out of Linces' mouth he couldn't close it. What's happening he thought. Why am I... Lince was spun around everything went black. He could feel himself being dragged away but by what, by who? Lince couldn't hear anything again and if he did it came at morfed to were he couldn't understand it. Lince manached to get Alis' name out but that was it. His mouth wouldn't work. What's happening!?! (Lince was shot)

(Oh, sorry. It just seemed that way. :3)
Night turned to Rose. Night was still kneeling on the ground and watched what Rose did. Night gulped. "Do you think we should take her to... the hospital? Even if we did, how would we tell them about what happened to her and what if they found out about that we can 'shift'?" She sighed.
Suddenly her necklace glowed again. Night had no idea why it did that, but she was pretty sure her spirit animal was inside it. In her dream it had gone into it...
Night took her necklace up to her mouth and whispered, "Can you help us? Can you help us protect eachother?"
A voice inside her head that was obviously her spirit wolf's replied softly and simply. "Yes."
Night was awestruck as a green light swirled out gracefully and entered Autumn's wound. Immediately the skin started to come back and heal. It was sort of a disgusting, but a very relieving sight.
Night's eyes lit up as Autumn seemed to act more normal. She was breathing more steadily, and her heart beat had slowed to the normal pace. "Thank you ever so much!" She kissed her necklace dispite the fact that everyone would probably think she was crazy.

(So what are everyone's spirit animals? I forgot a few. I know that Raven/Autumn is a cat, Ali/Dragoness is a dragon, Lince/Van Domar is a bird, and I think someone else is a lynx...)

(Akemi/San is a lynx, passion/Aurila is a field mouse,and dream/rose is a dragon) Autumn's eyes flashed open. "Wha-?" She looked down at her wound, had she been dreaming? It was gone! All the pain was ebbing away! Autumn looked up to see Night smiling. "What the heck just happened?" She asked, slowly sitting up. Then another shot was heard, she looked to see Lince bleeding. "Lince!" She leapt up snarling. These agents were mercilous! "We have to help him..." Autumn felt a little dizzy, although the wound was gone she was still in a bit of shock.
