Errr... What do you mean by 'soft colors'? Do you mean the background or her hair? If you want to learn how to do something then its best to watch the playbacks of the paintings you like. Thats what I do.
Also, laziness<- makes it harder to refine your skills, you'll learn faster if you're both patient & enjoying yourself.

Oh!.. Well you can probably make bright & pretty colors. We're both using the same app & have access to the same colors after all xD
