what i don't understand is how a guy can die for your sins...he didn't know u then or what kind of sins u would even do...and if ur god is supposed to be all loving, why would he let jesus be murd.ered in cold blo.od? why didn't he just smite them?

^ He didn't want to see him die, but he loves us too. We are all his children! He knew he couldn't come down to earth, so he sent his son for us. Do you realize how hard it is to let your own son die? If he would've died himself, it wouldn't have mattered because he knew he would come back. But since he sent his son, it shows us how much he cared for us. He put up with the pain of watching his son die, so that we may live. :] Sorry for the long comment. I felt it needed to be said.
