Totaly right there my friend. I think have like two charas with a dark story but they are siblings. and I believe it is a somewhat original dark story. I prefer happy go lucky charas(ha ha ha)

Sproutevers backstory: as he strolled down the tall grass in search of pecha berries for his demanding but loveable gf, Sproutever was ambushed by an arogant generic and uninspired trainer. The jerk then attacked the innocent creature with an abnormally strong Infernape knocking him out cold (or rather WARM XD.....sorry ). He was then turned into tiny particles stuffed into a cramped cold metal ball and then lovingly named after a rude male body part im not going to name. The Sproutevers low level meant the douch just stored him in a computer for years with no one to talk to other than 54 magikarps. All the spare time allowed him to develop his drawing skills and create his own oc's such as his so called 'whoever'. After looking up on the 3ds internet browser how to break out of a computer, he escaped and went in search of his gf. But by the time he was there she had died to make the backstory more tragic. He now lives in an area you cant acsess due to programming limitations being denied the right to speak anyything besides:"bulbasaur" or "bulba".

My bulbasaur is kinda like my bulbasur in PMD:EoS, but really different personality-wise cause PMD Bulba is all like 'Let's do our best! This is so fun! Wheeeeeeeee!' and the bulbasaur I made is like 'What a nice day! Wait a second...It's....him...NO! GO AWAY! I didn't agree to be your partner! Somebody help me please, this charmander is following me.'

(HEDGROVER) What I´ve heard about Homestuck before: It´s a real doorstopper, screws with your mind and has a lot of very devoted fans. I would have been suprised if being stuck at home was actually in the story XD Maybe I´ll even give it a try sometimes but only when I´m sure I have enough time...

(Kittilot) I think many people believe that characters without a dark backstory would be boring. Or maybe it needs to balance out thier absolute flawlessness on everything else XP Either way, they´re extremely common.

DOCTOR WHO. OH MY GOSH THAT'S GENIUS. And Homestuck in my opinion is a bit confusing at first, but gets better after Act 3. Plus if you don't understand something, they'll explain it later on. I quit the Sonic fancharacter fandom because it's just....stupid. All of the characters look the same, either bad ripoffs of Shadow or female Tails with makeup, curly hair and large chests, they're all the same. Also have ridiculous pairings with Sonic and Shadow. I use my own backstory for me. I'm Dolice, your average not-depressed dragoness! I also have PARENTS! (Because 99 percent of ALL Sonic characters are like 'too strong and k-lled parents' or 'left them', etc etc. Rant over.) At least the Homestuck fandom is nice to you, no matter who you ship. -Dolice

8O I didn´t say I was going to make a Dr. Who crossover thing, other people came up with the idea. I mean, I´d like to do it but I have no idea currently how to turn this into a funny idea that works on it´s own. Taking to account that there´s a lot of other stuff I´d like to do and that everyone needs to take some breaks from Colors3d sometimes, I´m afraid that it´s propably not gonna happen in the near future. I´m sorry... Maybe it´ll show up sometimes later though :)

Oy! I hate those kinds of people. For characters to be truly original, you gotta make an origin that is unique and not the same old. If it IS dark and troubling, make sure it's a good one and YOUR OWN IDEA! Perhaps start him/her with not knowing any of the characters other people made and maybe have them meet in the future if the artist will allow it, if contact is unavailable, at least give credit. You can make your character badass and powerful, sure, but don't overpower them by giving them all strength and no weakness or making them the most powerful thing alive; give the character weaknesses or limits. Also, please...for the love of god...do NOT make your character the long lost sibling of a copywrited character like Sonic or Rainbow Dash or something...that just makes you look like a fool and a noob. Well if ya wanna hear more rants just ask :D
