It was about this time that a large group of Demons started to attack the Town escalating the events into an invasion. These events forced Matthew, Hero of the Galaxy, the step in and help with fightin off the Demons and evacuating the Citizens. It was by cance that the first house Matthew stopped at was the where Kyn was being hidden. Matthew found the half-demon child laying on a bed, barely awake and barely holding onto life. Matthew pulled his knife out to finish off the battered Kyn. Before he did he looked into Kyn's eyes, which to his surprise didn't beg for life, instead they seemed to ask him to do it as painlessly as possible. Seeing this in such a young child saddened Matthew's heart. He sheathed his knife and used what little healing magics he had to heal Kyn to the best of his abilities. Matthew then divised a plan to help Kyn out of the town. Matthew evacuated Kyn, dicised in a cloak, with the family and friends of Kyn and his mother. Instead of sticking with the plan Kyn jumped off the carrier into the forests then ran and hid...

Kyn found a pond fed by hot springs and stopped there. He lost track of time just sitting there and wondering what to do now that he lost his home and mother. He started to cry up at the thought of his mother, but was inturupted by the sound of someone behind him. Kyn turned around and saw Matthew. Kyn backed away from Matthew stepping into the warm pond water and took a defensive posture. Matthew reasured Kyn that he wouldn't harm him and said that he understand why Kyn didn't trust him, but he couldn't just leave Kyn to fend for himself. Matthew placed a large bag down on the ground and explained that the bag was full of supplies and that he would return at least once a year to resupply and teach Kyn nessecary skills of survival. Matthew stuck around for a couple of days to make sure Kyn would be alright, all that time Kyn didn't say a word to Matthew. Before Matthew left he offered Kyn a chance to go stay at his home but Kyn didn't responed. Matthew acknowlegded Kyn's decision and started to leave, but before Matthew was out of earshot Kyn thanked Matthew for his help. Matthew turned and saw tears running down Kyn's face. Tears started to whell up in Matthew's eyes while he answered back with a your welcome and walked away with and odd sense of guilt and sarrow...

That was the first day of Kyn living by himself and that is how he would spend atleast the next eight years of his life. Alone, besides the yearly meeting with Matthew. Untill one day when Kyn was 16 and returning from a hunt, but that is a story for another time...
