It's worth visiting this site just for your Work Gaz! Splendid art as always. The subtle light effects work really well, i love it. Gives it a beautiful twilight feel. I look forward to what you create on your Galaxy not too!

Landotheartist, I know where you are coming from, I too find painting on the I phone/pod very challenging, it can be quite difficult, I still have my faithful I phone and will still carry on painting on it as well as the galaxy :)

I have looked and liked each of your arts on here. I think it insane how incredible it is with the strokes you use. It all comes together and just sings. So beautiful and so much depth and light and shade and texture it really makes me want to just cry at the beauty of it all. If you are not a professional artist you may want to consider a showing of these works. Just a thought. I would love to try your style, but even though we copy Monet, and Van Gogh and a myriad of others "famous" artists it would be wrong to copy Your style. I hope one day I can find a style of my own that sings to the heart like your art does.

Hi zeldaAutumn, Thx again for your kind comments , it's so nice that you enjoy viewing my art, I used to do a lot of walking in woodlands and hills, along cascading rivers and waterfalls in snowdonia Wales . The area captured my heart and it's this love that inspires most of my art, so although to date my landscapes are from out of my head, they are influenced by real places. Yeah I suppose it's a bit crazy how I paint, I rarely know what I'm going to end up with myself, not always good lol, but I find it great fun painting free from reference ,
I only paint for fun, but it has been suggested to me quite a few times I should consider printing and selling, I keep saying I'm going to open an account on deviant but never seem to get round to it. I think every artist wether it be painting or music or whatever can borrow techniques used by others and adapt it to there own style, if you like some of the techniques other artists use I think it's fine to incorporate them into your own art, I don't class this as copying at all, :)

As always, Gaz bell, thanks for commenting on my gallery. I 'm glad to see more of your beautiful work. The lighting in the painting makes the picture so deep and nostalgic. As I've recently gotten an ipad and have found finger-painting to be aggravatingly difficult, your great ability with the iphone never fails to amazes me!

Hi eclair, thank you for your kind comment, Yes I agree, it can take a bit of getting used to painting with your fingers, hope you stick at it though would love to see what you produce on your I pad :)
Personally I have the x set directly under my fingertip and paint a lot on full zoom :)

Ooh, someone's on a mission, hehe. Great to hear. For anatomy, most people I know tend to favor Andrew Loomis, but I love George Bridgman. His books are available from Dover Publications at a very reasonable price.

@zelda lol, I'd been looking at pictures of poison arrow frogs prior to making that comment, so just used it as a example of how my pictures can change from one thing to another, they have such beautiful markings, would be great to paint one :)

Hehe... I hope by 'branching out' you don't start posting dynamically posed Pokemon characters with perfectly foreshortened limbs. ;)
