This painting is representative of the "Hollow Earth" (not my) theory. This theory states that that the interior of the planet is hollow, has continents, seas, and a miniature sun. The interior of the planet is said to be accessible through an opening in the north pole. Again, this is not my theory, It's interesting, but I mostly thought it would be fun and challenging to paint a landscape with no horizon.

Woah, this looks incredible! Great idea for a sci-fi novel. Only if this theory were true, the sun would only stay straight above everyone as though it were noon, and never set. Great concept art, this is probably my favorite painting of yours!
