-Not even three straight minutes, that has GOT to be a new record- I thought, -I'm probably not gonna make it either at this rate- I sighed and tried to go back to listening but I started doodling instead. I smacked my hand -No! Bad lefty!- ''Allison,'' I heard my name called. Oh great! Why does he always pick me when I'm not listening! I swear that man has some sort of ESP. I went red in the face, ''Um... what was the question again?''

Mr. Burg sighed, ''Is there anyone who can help her?'' un-suprisingly the only one who raised their hand was Alyhia. ''1805,'' she responded.

Alyhia looked over and grinned giving a thumbs up sign while the teacher wasn't looking. I responded by mouthing 'Thanks' and she gave me another thumbs up. She was always saving my butt like that, she'd been my best friend since second grade and the biggest bookworm in school.
I looked over again and sure enough she was back taking her fifth page of notes. I heard the beeping noise come over the intercom to signal the end of first class. ''Thank god,'' I mumbled under my breath, hearing several other sighs of releif.
