In Super Mario 64, when you collect all 120 stars, a cannon will be unlocked, you use the cannon to fire yourself onto the castle roof and find Yoshi. Yoshi then congadulates you, fills your lives to maximum, and jumps off the building. Gettiing maximum lives also grants you a spectactular sparkle jump.
