Excuse me, but if I drew the freakin' thing, I'd know a few things about them. Giraffidae is the family of mammals that contains this and the giraffe. The term for an animal from this group is a 'girrafid'. Like giraffes, okapis have 18 inch long black tongues, cloven hooves, and male okapis have nubby horns called 'ossicones'. Their ecologic status is threatened, due to things like habitat destruction. They are not 'mixed' with anything, and some people consider them living fossils.
Furthermore, okapis live almost exclusively in the Ituri Rainforest in the Dem. Rep. of Congo, in central Africa. Their main predator is the leopard. They were not known to Europeans until the 19th century when a man named Johnstoni identified it and made it his namesake (okapia johnstoni). Yes, I know Bambi is male and he should have ossicones, but I didn't put them on this one because he's a baby in this pic.

Are you angry? Also, the okapi is threatened and was actually considered extinct because of...poaching I think.
