Evolution has not been proven as fact.

everything evolves as time goes on its called survival.Its just the way God made it,but i believe that us as human beings will more evolve in mind then in body

Species mate and attain adaptations which allow their generation to thrive within the changing environment. I don't understand the reason for posting a painting with the intention of instigating arguments is, but I guess it is your choice.

If you mean God, I'd like to say something to you. You said you want to "prove you wrong" to the people that believe in evolution. This is an extremely controversial topic. Just because others don't have the same beliefs as you, does not make them "wrong" at all.

The same can be said about religion. Every religion has its faults and flaws; although I'm much too tired to think of many. This is still a very controversial topic.

ok PROOF TIME! einstein said there is a huge uncrossable gap between real objects and their representations think of a house it is a real object and a blueprint is the representation now a house can't turn into a blueprint and a blueprint can't turn into a house UNLESS! inteligence steps. in a builder can build a house with a blueprint and a painter can paint a picture of a house (i see that on colors too) SO as i was saying representations need inteligence to become the real object (cont. on next comment)

ok our genetic code is the representation of our bodies and all life and without ineligence it can't turn into our bodies nor our bodies into it the inteligence needed is God our Lord and saviour he made us and everything is that good enough for u?

could some one explain why some entire galaxies are spinning backwards? If the big band did indeed occur, than wouldn't that mean that everything in the universe would be spinning the same way? I was just wondering.

P.S. I think that this is a very sensitve topic, and maybe should be dropped. I don't want to make any enemies just because of what I happen to believe.

Interesting. You missed out Darwin. What's your proof that creationism exists? As far as I'm concerned, it's as theoretical as science is, but at least science admits it's unsure most of the time.

Your argument is very one sided. I believe in evolution, and that a ''higher, divine'' being does not exist. Just because you believe in it does not make your beliefs any closer to fact than ours.

perhaps you did put down one 'fact', but that's by no means proof of something. Let's ask another question... how long has all of 'creation' been around? four thousand years? thirteen point six billion years? whichever way you spin it, explain to me why stars die, or are born, or why space-time is stretching in all directions at increasing speed. This is called the evolution of the universe, and is happening on earth in much smaller scales.

next up. every time a couple creates life, a certain mix of genes fight for the right to survive. And when the dust has settled, the dominant genes make the most difference in appearance, and possibly behaviour. Biology dictates that, in general, species find the most dominant features attractive, and the more times dominant genes come together, the less the weaker genes show up. Which over time creates a distinct change in a gene line. A fun example of evolution, I've noticed, is that in western countries, women are developing, consistantly, bigger breasts over the generations. Ds, DDs, Es are all becoming far more common than smaller ones, while even bigger sizes are naturally showing up too. Certainly a pointer towards evolution.

One more question for now, and please be aware that I'm not hating on you, I'm hating on religions. Is there anyway you could be convinced that Evolution is real, without losing faith in your God? I know I could be convinced of creationism, but only really by the same force that supposedly created everything. Heck, there is a very decent chance that science will prove the force that spurned the big bang is actually a deity with design

Well, basing ourselves on that same logic I guess that a tree can't grow by itself until I plant a seed, or a wolf won't eat a rabbit until I catch, skin and cook it for him.

-Genetic evidence.
-ERVs a.k.a. Endogenous retroviruses.
-Embryology.
-Vestigial organs and behaviours.
-Pseudogenes.
-Human chromosome 2.
-Ring species.
-Transitional fossils.
-Peppered moths.
-Domesticated animals.

And a whole lot more.

Please go do some research, I can't explain all of these in this tiny space.

To some it up; How many times has stuff been proven to be a fact in science? And how many times has stuff been proven to be a fact in religion? I think you'll find Science wins that one too ;)

your points are logical to a point mind you but heres a question for u science by definition is observation but noone has ever seen any creature "evolve" into a entirely different species now have you.......

well, yes, we pretty much do everytime someone new is born. But if you're talking the 'leap' between one species into a new one, I'll ask you to consider the whale. Scientists have evidenced that a whale, is biologically similar to a hippo in many ways, and that it evolved from a land creature. Now that might be hard to believe, but tell me why creation would have a fully sea creature, still possess the vestigial remnants of hind legs. Or the giraffe. It has a particular organ (blood vessal I think), which goes from one part in it's chest, all the way up it's massive neck, down back to another part of it's chest just inches away (sorry to use imperial there) The reason evolution explains this is that fish have practically no necks, and so that organ was simply from a-b, but as the vertebrate evolved into a giraffe, a bone, which became the top of the neck, pushed it up over the generations. Why would Creation not take the beautifully obvious route of a-b instead.

AND, are you going to answer any of my questions? It seems to me that you're trying to prove science is wrong, but you aren't giving more than your one 'fact' that religion is right. And please don't say the bible holds all the truths, because the bible you probably learned from is the king james II, compiled centuries after the first bible was decided by committee.

mind you, if you want to be a little more specific in the bible than just saying 'the bible says so', I'll listen to it then. For example, in the bible it says that god created adam and eve in his own image, who had 3 sons, who had many children etc (to point out a couple of problems with that one though: if both adam and eve were made in his image, then god is likely a hermaphrodite. And problem two, is who did the sons have children with? god only made adam and eve. does that mean eve slept with them too?)

Science adjusts it's views based on what's observed. Faith is the denial of observation so that belief can be preserved.

You mean like a fish growing legs and breathing air? Evolution is not something you can see instantly bro, nature is really, reaaaaallyyy slow.

But however slow it may be it does exist.

Here's where you hold on your hats because it's about to get rough:

We don't need big animals to see evolution, heck, we don't even need an organism of this century!

One of my favorite examples is the Bubonic Plague. It appeared back around the 1340s, quite a long time ago I know; but the interesting thing about this disease is that at first it was only transmitted through the bites of the fleas carried by rats.

But then, all of a sudden, it came to a point where the plague didn't have the need to be transported on the rats or even fleas...

Why? Because the disease adapted itselfe to it's victims in order to become a much stronger predator: It could now travel in the very breath of the infected.

And this is not the only example, many diseases have indeed evolved through time.

Some of them being handy enough under the hands of science in order to find a cure or two.

So yeah, evolution happens. At a slow rate but it happens.

I forgot to specify that while evolution is not instantaneous on big organisms, it is quick on microorganisms.
