It's rarely the answer, but sometimes, I'll admit, that it can be a stalling point until justice is served. If I saw someone strike my kids intentionally, trust me, violence would ensue. And I'm sure that's true of most parents

Vio.lence creates more vio.lence, so it's not the answer, even if both instinct and emotions say it is. Most forms of agression stem from fear, so that must be resolved first. Vio.lent people are insecure people.
