When shading something, remember five areas: one: the highlight, where the light from the light source bounces off directly to your eye. two: The light is diffused, but this area is still under the light. three: Cross over zone between what's under the shades and what's not. it should be a very suddle shift into the darkness. four:The darkest section on the object, where the light does not hit. five: Bounce light. This is a very special area that can only be noticed in the deepest of shadows, right next to something that can reflect light. Because light is reflected off everything, if a ball is placed on a floor, the floor will bounce light back onto the ball. This is extremely subtle, which is why it can only be seen in the shadows(the floor in the shade of the ball is reflecting the light. This is different from taking a mirror and reflecting sunlight into a shadow). Hope this helps.! Why are numbers banned by Nintendo.?!
