If you go in to the 3d section when you bring up the brush/color picker you can copy whats on one layer to the other. You can then delete the old layer. To do this hold down on the layer, drag it to the section just below the layer you want to copy it to. Then you delete the old layer by dragging it to the trash can that shows up right below it when you hold down on it. Hopefully I explained it clear enough. Nice work, not everything has to be 3d anyway. :)
