Honestly, I wish Colors! had better management, and with the new update it'd be better. I'm just an optimist though.

I respect your opinion, but it needs some of that studf. There will also be split tracer/origonal(fail) gallerys, C!3D needs some music too it too... :B

People still all ready do this... Granted I don't see people who trace consistently getting a ton of likes, but anyone who looks at the weeks best regularly will notice that the majority of the paintings are from the same dozen or so artists. Do you think they just randomly find 40 or so people to like their paintings as soon as they post them so that they get featured? Nope. Its because the people who enjoy their work all ready "follow" them and check their galleries for new work regularly. I have only been using Colors! for a few weeks and I have all ready noticed this. Most of the weeks top paintings are from the few same artists every week - with a few tracers and beggars in the mix. The update is simply going to make it easier for people to follow their favorite artists, it is not going to start anything "new".

Just that the things you're naming here all happen here already and that the new options wont make it any worse. I mean, seriously, I've heard people saying "It's Flipnote Hatena all over again" since the very start of this app. The update give us more options to search for paintings it will sort out tracers and drawings that took less then 10 minutes to complete into seperate galleries and will make it generally easier to use. Why do you think it'll make it worse? Granted, I don't believe it'll suddenly make everything perfect but I don't see how it can make things worse than they are...

Personally, I just want to be able to know when an artist I like posts new art. I tend to like too many things (only the most recent 99 favorites are displayed) and then I forget the exact username and, even if I know it, have to go online to use the search feature to find them, like a pic, then go back to my 3DS and go to favorites to find it. It's a pain to go through all that just to keep up with artists I like. So, in my humble opinion, it will make things easier for me. But not everyone uses Colors the same way. Some people post art all the time or it's always in this week's best, so they're easy to follow. Maybe they're actually more noticed now than they would be if their fans follow too many things. In other words, not everyone will react the same way to the update, so it's a mixed bag. But that's life, a mixed bag. You just choose what to focus on.
