SpyingEyez939 Draw whatever you want :) If people likes it fine! If not is fine too! I may not be famous or something like that, but I´m happy with my gallery because the people that comments on it, it´s not because my paintings are what they want to see, I think they see that I put a lot of feeling in them. So I´m happy with that and I happy with me too!

i do draw for myself rather than others, but i just wanted other opinions as to which unfinished pics of mine to finish.
as for offending people, i dont care, if you're offended by any of my works, that sounds like a personal problem. I'm a huge believer in the first amendment when it comes to freedom of expression/speech.
creativity is a bit of a toughie, whos to say what is creative? what is creative to one, may be boring to another. together with your first point making it creative to you is good, but sometimes its hard to come up with creative ideas.
and finally, enjoying drawing it. thats just great all around advice, if you're not having fun, you're not really creating art. art is all about expressing yourself, and it should be a fun process or else its just a job..
overall a sound philosophy, great for any artist to follow. I'll leave you with one of my favorite art quotes...
''the secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources'' -Albert Einstein

Hi lunisol! I´m sorry for dragging you here in first place, I was like "Cool! I made a philosophy, let´s show it to everyone!" I´m a little dumb sometimes, it just that a lot of people here in colors! are very dependent of other people´s oppinion and they only work for other but, what they really want to draw? They´re not very confident about themselves and I´m not that confident too, but I always trymy best to be a better artist so I just came with the idea of my "philosophy" so it could be helpful to someone with doubts about it. Anyway I´m very sorry.

And when it comes to not offend anyone, sure everybody´s have freedom to draw whatever they want, I have no problems with that. But a lot of people do this only to start an argument. There´s always a way to express our feeling in a no offending way, sure there´ll be always haters everywhere but we decide how to deal with them. There are other ways like for example: If someone likes to draw p.orn it´s OK! But he/she has to remember that in colors! there are a lot of kids. Maybe they should try posting on rule 34 or something, were he/she would be very welcome. I don´t know, there always a way to express.

And with the subject of being "creative" you sure have a point about that is a weird point, but what I was thinking really was that everybody needs to try new things, new tecniques, new ways of coloring, etc. Sure and always find that exciment to think "What should I draw today?" Or maybe just start doodling and maybe invent something new to you. I know that here on colors! I´m not that original or that I try new things, but in real life with my pencils and my drawing book I draw whatever I imagine, We need to say "I´ll try this" maybe I enjoy drawing "people" but sure I had fun drawing a pineapple the other day. Something like that.

And you´re right! If not it would be like a simple work. Drawing is like a wonderful feeling for me. And I´m always trying that people try it, BTW I love the quote! Thank you!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come across as a do.uche.. i was giving my opinion. your philosophy, like i said was a pretty good one. but philosophies are a personal thing, what fits for one may not fit all. most of your philosophy is general enough however, to be used by almost anyone, especially 1 and 4.
anyways, please, you dont have to apologize to me. if anything i'm the one who should apologize for coming across as an a$$. My friends say i lack tact which could be a big part of my problem, but i dont mean things as rudely or as mean as they may sound.

I know you wasn´t being rude. Actually I´m not good dealing with people too... We must forget this hahaha :D And maybe you´re right, not everyone will think the same as me but sure I have some points. Well, everyone knows what they want I think. And really I needed to apologize too.

Well said, my friend! Wow...people sure thought deeply about this, didn't they? Haha. I say it's all a great philosophy just how it is. And several times you said you don't have confidence in your artwork and that it's not that good, but that's not true! I love your stuff! Your pics are awesome. :) Anyway, I learned from Mr. Owl.

Sure they did! Philosophy is a heavy subject to talk from now :D Thank you that you saw it in the simple way. Yeah I´m not that confident, but is because I have a huge ego; I don´t want to feel better than anyone else and I want to be better everyday so I learn and watch from greatest artists out there. And thank you again friend, you made my day and my next life with your comment, I´m honoured, your stuff is very cool and you have an amazing style! :D Mr Owl rules!

"Draw for yourself, not for everyone else" Okay, sure.
"Of course, remember TO NOT offend ANYONE"
Well if I'm drawing for myself, why should I care if others will be offended?
